Leader: | Give thanks to the Lord, who is good. |
All: | God's love is everlasting. |
Leader: |
Come, let us praise God. |
All: | Let us come to God with thanksgiving. |
Leader: |
For the good world; for things great and small, beautiful and awesome; for seen and unseen splendors; |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
For human life; for talking and moving and thinking together; for common hopes and hardships shared from birth until our dying; |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
For work to do and strength to work; for the companionship of labor; for exchanges of good humor and encouragement; |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
For your help in times of doubt and sorrow; for healing our hurts; for preserving us in temptation and danger; |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
For those who have gone before us; for their contributions to our lives and to our communities; for the memories we hold dear; |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
For those who have guided our steps with wisdom; for those who have opened our eyes to the truth; for those who have strengthened our wills by their encouragement; |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
With reverence and affection we remember before you, O everlasting God, all our departed loved ones, friends, and colleagues. |
All: | Thank you, God. |
Leader: |
Keep us in union with them, through faith and love toward you, that hereafter we may join them in your presence and be numbered with those who serve you, O God of everlasting love. |
All: | Amen. |
