Simmons School of Education completes IES Grant Prototype Featuring Guildhall Contributions
SMU Associate Professor Candace Walkington and her peers at the Simmons School of Education completed a prototype for a new IES Grant, Project EXCEL, which uses augmented reality. Project development featured contributions by SMU Guildhall students and alumni Mary Mutter, Alaetheia GSWW, Jaye GSWW, and Rui 'Siri' Xie.
In the prototype, students and teachers can collaborate on work together in real space and time by physically moving objects in the air in front of their AR view, whether they are in person with each other or working offsite.
