This fall, SMU Cox was pleased to welcome to campus the eighth Executive Leadership Forum for the Digital Supply Chain Institute (DSCI) of the Center for Global Enterprise. In collaboration with ChainIQ and Janus Logistics Technologies, this by-invitation-only event brought together executive supply chain leaders from around the world. The two-day summit engaged participants in the transformative actions needed to create a Digital Supply Chain. The discussion focused on the “Frontside Flip,” which captures the spirit of customer focus and demand management that will increase revenue by 10% and reduce costs by 20%. In addition to the rich discussion and insight from expert guest speakers, attendees benefited from an opportunity to collaborate, share best practices, and network with fellow supply chain executives from diverse enterprises. SMU Cox School of Business Dean Matthew Myers, Associate Dean Shane Goodwin, and SMU Cox Professor and ITOM Department Chair Dr. Amit Basu, also shared insight into initiatives the Cox School is driving to advance Supply Chain curricula and experiential learning opportunities.
