Education Policy and Leadership Research

Our faculty members' expertise is sought after and frequently present in the media. Most recently, Dr. Michael Harris was interviewed on Spectrum News 1 to discuss tenure and the implications proposed laws would have on organizations.

Education Policy and Leadership faculty simultaneously engage in many forms of research, including grant-funded projects. Our researchers have been funded by National Institutes of Health, Institute of Education Sciences/U.S. Department of Education, National Science Foundation, American Institutes for Research, National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Russell Sage Foundation. EPL is committed to engaging in research and disseminating findings that lead to institutional change in the field of education. Our research focuses on policies and systems in education which leads to a direct impact on district leaders, campus educators, and families whom the districts serve.
