Is this an Emergency?

If you have been sexually assaulted:

  1. Call 911
  2. Do NOT shower, bathe, or douche.
  3. Have a trusted friend take you to Parkland Hospital. It is the only hospital in Dallas county that performs rape kit examinations. Take the clothes in which you were assaulted with you to the hospital.
  4. Call the Coordinator of Psychological Services for Women at 214-768-4795. She will meet you at Parkland.
  5. Obtain counseling services through the SMU Counseling and Testing Center at 214-768-2211 or call 214-768-4796 for a community referral.
  6. Remember it is not your fault. You will recover
