- Tell me Your Secret!
You can place your secret anonymously in our box located in the Women's
Center or mail to us at PO Box 750172. We will post them on our bulletin
board and then in a scrapbook. You are also welcome to view our already
posted secrets...
- Yarn and Yarn
Do you knit, crochet, spin, or sew...or would you like to learn?
Join us this semester and make connections with faculty, staff and
students. We do have a small amount of yarn and knitting needles if you
don't have your own. All skill levels are welcome. Contact Val at
verwin@smu.edu if you need further
information.

Mission Statement
The Women's Center empowers students to increase awareness and understanding
of gender equity issues. The Women's Center gives voice for women and the
lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered community, with purpose to eliminate
barriers, diminish prejudices, and create a supportive climate and space for
all.
What We Do
We reach out to the SMU community to create dialogue around gender issues and
pride initiatives. Through our student organizations:
Women's
Interest Network, Women in Science and Engineering, YWCA, CORE, and Spectrum
students have the opportunity to make a mark on this campus. And, through our
programs such as
Allies, Food Chain, Women's Symposium, LGBTea, Transgender Day of Remembrance, and
Violence Prevention Program, you have the opportunity to enrich your campus
experience.
