Now in its 29th season, SMU's Willis M. Tate Distinguished Lecture Series brings a broad range of intellectual and entertaining voices to the SMU campus and Dallas community. Widely regarded as one of the country's finest platforms for distinguished and engaging discussions, the Tate Lecture Series provides unique opportunities for student interaction, faculty discourse and community debate with both emerging voices as well as leading figures in their fields.
The Tate Lecture Series supports the prestigious President’s Scholars program by raising nearly $1 million annually toward scholarships for the next generation of leaders. Proceeds from the 2010-11 season will fund full-tuition scholarships and provide study abroad opportunities for nearly thirty percent of the current President’s Scholars.
