"Four Years in the Middle East: The Trail of History"
David Lesch, Professor of Middle Eastern History, Trinity University
Thursday, November 7th, 2002
The final event in the "Worlds of Islam" series focused on the Middle East during the "four years" of 1967, 1979, 1991, and 2001. This approach offers an opportunity to analyze and encapsulate the major events of the last four decades that have brought us to where we are today. In following the "trail of history," Professor Lesch examined the challenges facing those on all sides who seek peaceful co-existence in the region.
