Printer Cartridge Recycle Program
LPServices, (LPS) one of SMU preferred suppliers recycles toner and ink cartridges. The minimum number of cartridges required for free pickup is 5 toner cartridges or 10 ink cartridges. Most departments find it practical to designate a cabinet or file drawer to store the used cartridges. LPServices will also provide shelving or boxes if needed. When you have accumulated enough used cartridges, simply call and LPS will pick up the old and deliver new cartridges.
In the case of Cox School of Business and Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports, they collect old cartridges until they are ready to order new or remanufactured cartridges which are an efficient use of resources.
Hughes Trigg Student Center has agreed to be a drop-off point for all students and has containers by the mail room for used cartridges.
What is needed on your part?
The Procurement department and Facilities Management and Sustainability have worked very hard to come up with a program that will work for all our faculty, staff and students and look forward to everyone’s participation. The University continues to look for ways to improve Recycling and Sustainability and we appreciate the support we receive from SMU community.
If you have any questions or need for any additional recycling opportunities please give me a call at 8-2163 or email me at email@example.com.
