Sustainability at SMUSMU is committed to environmentally conscious behavior through broad campus resource management programs, recycling, student initiatives and green building construction as well as degree programs, course offerings and research. The links from this page will help direct you to these various programs and resources.
The University’s Sustainability Administrator is Kevin Dilliard, who is responsible for centralizing all campus information regarding sustainability programs and initiatives, developing community outreach programs, and working with faculty, staff, and student sustainability organizations. SMU’s Sustainability Committee is a group of faculty, students and staff who promote sustainability and increased environmental awareness on campus. The committee sponsors panel discussions and speakers, the popular Green Minute Video Contest, Recyclemania and a variety of green challenges and activities. RecycleMania 2013 Tests Your 'Green' SpiritDALLAS (SMU) – The annual RecycleMania competition is back at SMU, and the University’s E-reps (student environmental representatives) are hoping to catch people “green-handed” as they correctly toss items like plastic bottles, paper and aluminum cans into campus recycle bins.
Follow the E-Reps blog for information about the competition and other sustainability tips at http://blog.smu.edu/ereps/. ### |
