Cox Senators

		Tyler Harris tharris@smu.edu Classification: Junior Hometown: Newport, Arkansas Majors: Financial Consulting and Political Science Personal Statement: One of my main goals for senate this year is to pass legislation promoting the development of more outdoor study areas for students to utilize. Being in Texas, we have several months of weather that would be great for studying outside. Unfortunately there are not nearly enough study areas to take advantage. I would like to see more tables placed in open areas for students to enjoy.

		Michael Mitchell mmitchell@smu.edu Classification: Junior Hometown: Austin, Texas Major(s): Finance & Physcology Personal Statement: This year, I'd really like to represent my Cox constituents as best I can through improved communication and relevant legislation that benefits not only the school, but Cox students as well.

		Jason Carlson jcarlson@smu.edu Classification: Senior Hometown: Dallas, Texas Major(s): Finance Personal Statement: My main goal in Senate this year is to be the voice of my constituents and to address any and all of their concerns. I also plan on helping my fellow senators, both in and out of the Cox School of Business, to further our shared goals and advance student interests in a dynamic and active way. Although we are already very effective in many areas on campus, I look forward to helping the SMU community continue to improve and grow.

		Cohagen Wilkison cjwilkinso@smu.edu Classification: Junior Hometown: Lincoln, Nebraska Major(s): Business Management Personal Statement: My goals for the remainder of this school year include promoting legislation improving or creating channels of communication between the Senate and our constituents, increasing the effectiveness of legislation that is passed by senate, and supporting my fellow senators in their efforts to make progressive changes in an effort to improve student life on campus.

		Caroline Langley clangley@smu.edu Classification: Junior Hometown: Lexington, Kentucky Major(s): Business and English Personal Statement: I hope to foster the relationship between the Cox School of Business and the rest of the university, taking an active role in the communication between the two, as well as work toward the resolution of students’ issues. I also plan to take part in the allocation of funding for scholarships and student organizations.
