Mustangs Recycle

Boulevard Recycling Program

The Student Senate through its Environment Committee is looking for interested and eligible student organizations to manage recycling on the Boulevard during home football games. These organizations have the opportunity to earn a $100.00 gift certificate for four to five hours of work on the following Saturdays:

• Saturday, September 10 - Sam Houston State - 7:00 PM
• Saturday, September 23 - Arkansas Sate - 7:00 PM (Family Weekend)
• Saturday, October 14 - Marshall - 2:00 PM
• Tuesday, October 31 - UAB - 6:30 PM
• Saturday, November 11 - Houston - 2:00 PM (Homecoming)
• Saturday, November 18 - Tulsa - 2:00 PM

The minimum number of volunteers is five (5), but we encourage you to have more.  Your organization will have the following tasks:

1. Meet your Student Senate Environment Committee representative at the location that has been prearranged. 
2. Distribute all recycling bins (you can find them near the flag pole) at a minimum of three (3) hours before game time.
3. Please empty and maintain the bins during the boulevard hours.
4. To bring all full bags of recycling to the area where you picked up the bins (near the flag pole).
5. Pick up all recycling bins no earlier than thirty (30) minutes after game time and return them to the area where you picked up the bins. 
6. Meet your Student Senate Environment Committee representative to fill out any necessary paperwork for your gift certificate.

Organizations will be selected on a First Come First Serve basis, but the deadline to apply is ten days (Wednesday) before each home game.

By submitting this form, your organization and its volunteers are agreeing to the following points:

• To meet the Student Senate Environment Committee member (s) at the designated time and location on the home game your group is assigned.
• To select a group leader to be responsible for directing the project (all communication will go to the group leader).
• To show a concerted effort to distribute, maintain, empty and stack the recycling bins and to stay on the boulevard until the project is complete. 
• To begin removing the recycling bins no earlier than thirty (30) minutes after game time.
• To return all recycling bins, unused bags, and collected recyclables to the drop off location.

These standards will be met in order for the $100.00 gift certificate to be awarded to the student organization.  We agree to execute this project to the best of our ability.
