Student Activities Signature Programs

A Night at the Club is an involvement fair and carnival event tailored to first-year SMU students. On the night they return from Mustang Corral in August, students have an opportunity to learn about various student organizations and have some fun with games, food, prizes, and more. A Night at the Club is a joint effort of Student Activities and New Student Orientation and Student Support.

Mandatory Organizations Meetings (or MOMs) are held in the beginning of each fall semester, and required for every organization with a full, temporary, or probationary charter, as well as campus ministry groups and fraternity and sorority chapters. The MOM fulfills state-mandated risk management training requirements and provides important information about student organization opportunities, policies, and guidelines.

Join the Club is an involvement fair held in January to help students connect with organizations, SMU departments, and employment opportunities. New and transfer students receive a special invitation to participate, but all are welcome and encouraged to stop by.
