
- Ben, Beijing. (Fall 2009-2010) Ben, a 2009 graduate in history with a minor in Mandarin from Dedman College and business from the Cox School, is living in Beijing as a Princeton-in-Asia teaching fellow. He will be teaching at the China Foreign Affairs University for the 2009-2010 academic year.
- Catherine, PRSSA conference. (Fall 2009) Catherine, a senior CCPA major in SMU's Meadows School of the Arts and a member of the SMU rowing team, attended the Public Relations Student Society of America national conference in San Diego in November 2009.
- CJ, SMU-in-Taos. (Fall 2009) CJ is a sophomore economics major in Dedman College and finance major in Cox School of Business. In Fall 2009, he is participating in the inaugural fall semester at SMU's campus at Fort Burgwin in New Mexico.
- Drew, Moscow. (Summer 2009) Drew participated in SMU-in-Moscow, an intensive study of the language and culture of Russia, during Summer 2009.
- Emily, Moscow. (Fall 2009) Emily is a senior majoring in Markets and Cultures, with a Russian minor, in Dedman College. During summer 2009, she participated in SMU-in-Moscow, an intensive five-week study of the language and culture of Russia.
- Eric, Madrid. (Fall 2009) Eric, a junior majoring in accounting in the Cox School of Business and Spanish in Dedman College, is a Hunt Leadership Scholar and Cox BBA Scholar. In Fall 2009, he is living and studying in Spain's capital through the SMU-in-Spain program.
- Federico, SMU-in-Spain. (Fall 2009) The recipient of a Marion Tower Study Abroad Scholarship for Fall 2009, Federico is studying at the Fundacion Jose Ortega y Gasset in Madrid through SMU-in-Spain.
- Hilltop on the Hill, Washington. (Fall 2009) Seventeen Journalism and Corporate Communications & Public Affairs students are studying in Washington, D.C., this October for the Hilltop on The Hill 2009 program.
- Heather, Cairo. (Fall 2009) Heather is a senior majoring in history and medieval studies in Dedman College, with a minor in art history in Meadows School of the Arts, and a recipient of the Gilman International Scholarship to Egypt. In Fall 2009, she will continue her studies in Arabic and Egyptology in her second semester at the American University in Cairo.
- Jason, Paris. (Fall 2009) Jason is a junior majoring in music composition in Meadows School of the Arts and the recipient of a Meadows Artistic Scholarship. In Fall 2009 he is participating in SMU-in-Paris, where he intends to study the past and present culture.
- Laura, Rwanda. (Summer 2009) Laura is a senior journalism major in Meadows School of the Arts with minors in art history, photography and human rights. In August 2009 she is participating in the Human Rights Education Program trip to Rwanda, where the group will visit sites including the Nyarubuye Genocide Memorial and Urukundo Home for Children.
- Lauren, SMU-in-Taos. (Fall 2009) Lauren is a sophomore participating in the first fall term at SMU's campus at Fort Burgwin in New Mexico. A recipient of the University Scholar and Rotunda Award scholarships, she is taking courses including geology and engaged in service-learning at Taos.
- Leela, SMU-in-Spain. (Fall 2009) Leela is a junior Hunt Scholar majoring in corporate communications and public affairs in Meadows School of the Arts and in Spanish, with an Italian minor, in Dedman College. She is spending Fall 2009 in Madrid, where she'll be taking courses, learning about Spanish culture, living with a Spanish family and exploring the country.
- Nichole, Oxford. (Summer 2009) Nichole, a second-year evening law student at Dedman School of Law, participated in Summer 2009 in the School’s Oxford Summer Program, in association with University College.
- Sarah, Paris (Fall 2009) Sarah is a junior President's Scholar majoring in art history in Meadows School of the Arts and Spanish in Dedman College. In Fall 2009, she will be taking art history and French classes through SMU-in-Paris.
- SMU Earth Sciences, Mongolia (Fall 2009) Earth Sciences doctoral students are part of a multi-international dinosaur expedition hosted by the city of Hwaseong in the Republic of Korea. The purpose of the project is to discover, collect and study dinosaur fossils from the Gobi desert in Mongolia.
- SMU Outdoor Adventures SMU Outdoor Adventures offers recreational trips and outdoor skills workshops from its “base camp” at the Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.
- Snigdha, SMU-in-Copenhagen (Fall 2009) Snigdha is a junior biology major, minoring in chemistry and math, in Dedman College. In Fall 2009, she is participating in the Medical Practice and Policy Program at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad through SMU-in-Copenhagen.
