Campus Community is the module in PeopleSoft that serves as the hub of the Student Administration System (SAS), Contributor Relations (CR) and the Human Resource Management System (HRMS). It provides many features basic to all of the applications in SAS and HRMS. The basic information that is shared by multiple modules resides in Campus Community.
The functionality in Campus Community permits the creation, maintenance and management of a wide range of biographic and demographic information on individuals who compromise SMU’s community. Information relating to schools and organizations, both internal and external is also maintained in this module. The comment and communication features manage SMU’s contact with students, prospects, recruits, staff, parents, and so on.
Basic standards have been adopted to ensure consistency in the data that is entered. The Campus Community Stakeholders Committee has the responsibility of reviewing and approving all procedures and policies for Campus Community, which govern these standards. The Campus Community Stakeholders Committee is composed of a representative from Human Resources, Division of Enrollment Services, Advancement and the Campus Community module lead.
