The eGDPR is an electronic Graduate Degree Progress Report (eGDPR) that can be requested by students or advisors/faculty using Access.SMU. The GDPR itself will not appear in Access.SMU. It will be e-mailed to the person requesting it at his/her campus e-mail account.
The following instructions explain how an advisor/faculty member may request a student’s GDPR through Self Service.
Processing an eGDPR
A. Faculty
After logging into Access.SMU, look for the Faculty Self-Service pagelet. Click on the Faculty Center link:

Navigate to the following page: Self Service, Advisement, New/Drop-In Advisees

Requesting the Report
Click on the Search button to select a
student.

Enter the SMU ID of the student for whom you are requesting the report. |

Click on the Lookup button. |

Select the student. |
This brings you back to the New/Drop-In Advisees page, now displaying the student's name.

For students who are in both a graduate and undergraduate program, the page will load so that you can select the report you want:

After clicking on Go,
you will see “Processing” blinking on the upper right side of the screen. When
the processing is complete, you will see the following screen.

Note: If this screen does not appear, the Degree Progress Report has not been sent to your SMU email account. The process must be repeated to obtain an eDPR/eGDPR.
You cannot run a degree progress report for students who are not in an active status due to graduation, suspension, etct. You may still run an unofficial transcript. If you try to run a (graduate) degree progress report, you will receive the following message:
