SACS Reaffirmation of Accreditation for SMU

SMU Reaffirmation of Accreditation from Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

Welcome to the home page for SMU’s university-wide initiative seeking reaffirmation of accreditation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Southern Methodist University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS COC) to award Baccalaureate, Master's and Doctoral degrees, and is required to seek reaffirmation of accreditation every ten years. Thus, SMU will seek reaffirmation of accreditation in 2010-2011.

This website will be the guide to and entry portal for information, reports, and input relating to this important effort. The contents will be updated regularly as the effort to seek reaffirmation continues through 2011.

If you have questions, contact us at reaffirmation@smu.edu. or send suggestions in the suggestion box under the Contact Us link.

We hope that all members of the SMU community will use this portal to learn about and engage in the reaffirmation effort.
