Insurance Program

SMU has developed policies and procedures to handle many different types of insurance issues. Proof of insurance is required from all vendors, contractors and subcontractors doing business with/at Southern Methodist University. SMU has also developed guidelines to clarify the extent to which the Southern Methodist University Insurance Liability Program applies to the activities and functions of SMU sanctioned organizations (i.e. chartered organizations). Special events insurance (liability protection for organizations that host activities that are not included in the University’s insurance program) is available and can be applied for online.
