In the last two years SMU has disposed of 23,073 lbs of hazardous materials.

Hazardous Materials

Southern Methodist University is committed to the responsibility of providing a safe work environment for its employees, students, visitors and other personnel conducting university business. It is with this commitment that the university developed and is implementing a Chemical Hygiene Plan, guidelines for Chemical Sharing, and Hazardous Waste Disposal Procedures to manage activities associated with certain recognized hazards.
