Faculty Procession
Retired and current faculty will assemble in academic dress no later than 5:10 p.m. in the Perkins Administration Building lobby. The faculty will process together to McFarlin Auditorium, lead by the retired faculty. The procession begins moving at 5:30 p.m. following the students being recognized at Honors Convocation. The Faculties remain standing until the President takes his seat. After the Benediction, the Platform Party will lead the recessional, followed by the Faculties in a single-file line until reaching the sidewalk outside the building.

Faculty Regalia
If you wish to rent your academic regalia, you may do so at the SMU Bookstore. To process your order they will need the following information:
Last Name
First Name
Height (with shoes)
Cap Size
Degree
Name of school where degree was earned
City and State of school
Phone number where you can be reached
Department on campus
You may transmit the above information via phone, fax, email, or in person at the bookstore. If you call the bookstore, any clerk can assist you. If you email or fax the request, please put “To the attention of Honors Convocation Regalia” on your request.
