Students, Guest, Faculty and Staff can now view Textbook information for all the courses in a selected term within Access.SMU. This feature is presented to you by Access.SMU and the SMU Bookstore.

For Students

You are now able to view and purchase the textbooks that are needed for specific courses and sections for a particular term of enrollment.

1.     Login in to Access.SMU 

2.     Click on the “Student Center” link

3.     Click on one of the following links:

a.     “My Class Schedule” link to select term

b.     “View Text books” link which will load information for current term of enrollment

4.     Next , click on the green “View Textbooks” button under the My Class Schedule page

A list of all your Required, Recommended and Supplemental materials will load for all the courses that you have enrolled in for the selected term. In addition, you may also browse text book information for specific courses and sections for any other terms by clicking the “View Textbooks” button in the Class Search page. Please note that you may still go to the SMU Bookstore site and look up text book information one course at a time.
At any time, you may purchase these textbooks on-line.

* For Plano-in-Legacy courses, text book information is available through your department.

For Guests

Without logging in to Access.SMU, you may also browse text book information for specific courses and sections for any other terms by:

1.     Go to Access.SMU

2.     Click on the “Access.SMU Guest Features” link ( upper right hand side)

3.     Click on the “Class Search/ Browse Catalogue” link 

4.     Click on the “View Textbooks” button in the Class Search details page

4.     Click on the “View Textbooks” button under the Class Search Results page

 

For Staff

For staff with access to the “Class Search” page, text book information is available under the:

1.      “Records and Enrollment”  page

2.     “ Curriculum Management” page
