The Rotunda Passage is a ceremonial march in procession through Dallas Hall's rotunda to the ceremonial gathering in McFarlin Auditorium where new first-year and transfer students are formally welcomed to SMU.

Opening Convocation is the first formal academic assembly of the new school year.
