Guests do not need tickets to attend the all-University December Graduation ceremony that will be held on December 15, 2012 in Moody Coliseum at 10:00 a.m. Doors to Moody Coliseum open at 8:30 a.m. and guests are encouraged to be seated by 9:45 a.m.

Doors to Moody Coliseum open at 8:30 a.m. Disabled guests are encouraged to be seated soon after the doors open.

Each guest will be permitted to have one attendant join them.  A limited number of guest and attendant seats are available on the Moody floor. Seats are first-come first-served. Persons with difficulties climbing stairs may be seated with one attendant in the first three rows of Sections A, B, C, D, O, P & Q. These seats are accessible via the front doors of Moody Coliseum and a total of 142 seats for guests and 142 seats for attendants are available. Ushers will be available to escort guests to the proper area.

Guests who use Walkers or Canes or Have Restricted Movement

• Guests who have difficulty negotiating steps should park in Binkley Parking Garage and enter Moody Coliseum through the West lobby. Given limited access points to the concourse and seating level of Moody Coliseum, using the disabled drop-off location reserved for guests with wheelchairs or scooters is not advisable.
  
  

Guests who use Wheelchairs or Scooters

• Guests who use wheelchairs or scooters should travel Northbound on Dublin Street to be dropped off at the corner of Dublin Street and Binkley Avenue. Guests will access the building via the northeast loading dock, to be seated on the floor of the coliseum. To park after dropping off guests, collect a pass from the parking attendant on duty and continue north on Dublin to the Bush Center Visitor Parking Lot. Only guests with a pass or state-issued handicapped placard are permitted to park here.

• Drop off of guests in wheelchairs or scooters is advisable due to the ongoing construction at SMU that may make accessible paths more difficult to navigate.  However, guests with wheelchairs or scooters may park in the Bush Visitor Center Parking Lot parking lot with their state issued placards at the corner of Dublin and SMU Boulevard.

• After the ceremony, guests with wheelchairs or scooters can be picked up at the corner of Dublin and Binkley.

The University has begun several construction projects to improve our campus. Please allow extra time to find parking and reach Moody Coliseum as construction activities will affect routes from parking areas to various locations on campus.

Those attending December Graduation activities at Southern Methodist University on Saturday, December 15, may park in any of the University's parking facilities.

Personal photographs may be taken only before and after the December Graduation ceremony. No one is permitted in the aisles during the ceremonies.

Arrangements have been made with a professional photographer to take candidates' photographs as they walk across the stage at December Graduation. Each candidate will receive a proof after the ceremony.
