PARKING

All student motor vehicles parked at anytime on University Property must have a valid parking permit.  Permits purchased during the Fall semester are valid for the entire academic year.

MEAL PLAN

As part of the campus experience dining memberships are available to all students.  All resident students are required by University policy to subscribe to a Dining Membership.  Several options are available, depending on student classification.  First-year resident students must be enrolled in the Community Plan (Plan A).  Second- and third- year resident students may choose from the Community (Plan A) or Hilltop (Plan B) membership options.  Red (Plan D) and Blue (Plan E) memberships are available to resident students with senior status and above.  Commuter students have the option of subscribing to any Plan they choose.  All resident students must confirm contracted dining memberships at the time of on-line enrollment.  Resident students failing to reconfirm between semesters will be automatically reenrolled into the previous dining membership.  All membership changes must be made by the last day of add/drop (5th class day) for the active semester.

Please note: Dining Memberships are designed to include a variety of options to match student lifestyles.  The 2005-2006 Community and Hilltop Dining Memberships now offer EXPRESS CA$H in addition to residential dining access while the Red and Blue plans offer Flex Dollars.  For a complete listing of each membership's benefits visit www.smudining.com.  

A. Community Plan                        $1,850 per semester
Plan A offers UNLIMITED dining entries to use both at Lee Center and Mac's Place residential restaurants.  In addition, $50 EXPRESS  CA$H and 5 guest passes accompanies this membership level.  Dining access is limited to cardholder only.  Guest passes must be used with cardholder present.    For current EXPRESS CA$H locations click here
B. Hilltop Plan                                  $1,850 per semester
Plan B offers 240 dining entries to use anytime throughout the semester both at Lee Center and Mac's Place residential restaurants.  In addition, $200 EXPRESS CA$H accompanies this membership level.  Dining access may be used for cardholder and up to 5 guests per visit.  Guest must accompany cardholder.  For current EXPRESS CA$H locations click here.
D. Red Plan                                      $450
Plan D, available to resident students Senior Status and above in addition to commuters, offers 50 dining entries to use anytime throughout the semester both at Lee Center and Mac's Place residential restaurants.  In addition, $100 Flex Dollars accompanies this membership level.  Dining entries may be used for cardholder and up to 5 guests per visit.  Flex Dollars may be used at any of SMU's retail food centers.  
E. Blue Plan                                     $450
Plan E, available to resident students Senior Status and above in addition to commuters, is composed exclusively of $450 Flex Dollars.  This plan allows you to spend your Flex Dollars at any of SMU's retail food centers including residential restaurants.
F. Dining Advantage 10                $59.54 per block
Dining Advantage 10 allows 10 entries in the campus residential restaurants, Lee Center or Mac's Place.  AVAILABLE TO COMMUTER/ APARTMENT RESIDENTS ONLY! The entries, added to your ID card grant you access into either of the residential restaurants for you and any of your accompanying guests.  This block is 10 meals.  Additional blocks may be purchased throughout the semester in the SMU Dining Services office, located in Room 101 of the Umphrey Lee Center.  SMU Dining Services accepts cash, check, EXPRESS CA$H, Visa or MasterCard.
G. Dining Advantage 25                $142.08 per block
Dining Advantage 25 allows 25 entries in the campus residential restaurants, Lee Center or Mac's Place.  AVAILABLE TO COMMUTER/ APARTMENT RESIDENTS ONLY! The entries, added to your ID card grant you access into either of the residential restaurants for you and any of your accompanying guests.  This block is 25 meals.  Additional blocks may be purchased throughout the semester in the SMU Dining Services office, located in Room 101 of the Umphrey Lee Center.  SMU Dining Services accepts cash, check, EXPRESS CA$H, Visa or MasterCard.

HEALTH CENTER
All students who pay the maximum General Student Fee are eligible for health services.  Students taking 11 credit hours or less must request the health center option at the time of registration, or may pay the fee at the Health Center at the time of treatment.  The health fee covers unlimited primary care, physicians visits at no charge, as well as counseling services.

Southern Methodist University Students are encouraged to maintain student health insurance while being enrolled in school.  You have available to you the SMU Student Health Insurance Plan for the 2005 - 2006 school year.  The Plan is administered by Academic HealthPlans and underwritten by Unicare Life Insurance Company.  Undergraduates taking one or more credit hours and who pay University Health Center fees are eligible to enroll in the following plans:

A.  Annual Medical Insurance - $1,148.00

B.  Fall Medical Insurance - $476.00

PONY EXPRESS
Pony Express is a prepaid debit account available to all students.  Account holders may present their SMU ID card in lieu of cash to make purchases throughout campus.  Pony Express accounts are honored at all dining facilities on campus at individual meal plan rates.  Pony express may not be substituted for required resident meal plans.

ATHLETICS - SPORTS PACK
All student who pay the maximum General Student Fee automatically receive the Sports Pack.  Students taking 11 hours or less may purchase the Sports Pack.  The Sports Pack allows students to attend all regularly scheduled SMU sporting events on campus, including football and basketball.  When purchased, the bearer will then only need to show their SMU ID at the SMU Athletic Ticket Office before each event to obtain a student ticket.

PUBLICATIONS* - YEARBOOK/CAMPUS NEWSPAPER
All students may order SMU's award-winning student yearbook, Rotunda, and may order a subscription to SMU's award-winning student newspaper, The Daily Campus, to be sent home to their families (paper is distributed free on campus).  There are two options available--Yearbook/Newspaper combo OR the Yearbook only.

MEADOWS* - ENTERTAINMENT VOUCHER
The Meadows Entertainment Voucher is an opportunity to take advantage of many different cultural activities on the SMU campus.  This voucher provides the bearer with six tickets that may be used for any production from the Meadows School of the Arts' departments of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

CHANGING A SAVED SELECTION
If you originally selected NONE, or never selected your Campus Essentials, you can still purchase Campus Essentials through the fifth class day for the Fall/Spring term or the second class day for the Summer term.  Simply go to Access.SMU and select Campus Essentials.  Then select the Campus Essentials you want to purchase.  If you need to make any changes to saved Campus Essentials information, you must contact the Park 'N Pony office.
