Hilltop Sports Camp is under the supervision of SMU Department of
Recreational Sports' professional staff. Staff members will be available
throughout the day to campers as well as counselors, to render aid and ensure
fluidity. Trained camp counselors will be a constant presence in order to
conduct the daily operations of camp during and between all activities.
All counselors are American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certified and have completed rigorous trainings focused on dealing with issues involving child supervision and safety as well as emergency preparation. Each staff member must submit a background check before they are offered employment.
Campers, accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible party, will check in
each morning in the Dedman Center lobby at 9:00AM. Campers will be picked up from the Dedman
Center lobby at 3:00PM each day by the responsible party. Responsible parties must be
registered with camp staff prior to pick up date. PHOTO ID REQUIRED.

Cell Phones will be ALLOWED but must remain with campers' items and will not be permitted during camp activities
SMU, the Department of Recreational Sports and Hilltop Sports Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Hilltop campers should come dressed each morning ready to swim. Comfortable athletic wear appropriate for physical activity should be worn over swim clothes. ATHLETIC SHOES ARE ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED.
Hilltop Sports Camp's regular day runs from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. Hilltop strives to accommodate more schedules by offereing Before Care and After Care options, Monday through Friday, at an additional fee. This gives parents the opportunity to have some flexibility in dropping off and picking up their child from the Dedman Center facility.
Before Care: Drop-Off Times: 8:00-9:00AM ($25/session/camper)
Payment must be made in advance for campers participating in Before Care or
After Care. Campers dropped off before 8:50AM more than one day per week may be
charged the weekly fee for Before Care. Campers remaining after the 3:30PM
pick-up time more than one day per week may be charged the After Care fee until 5:00pm.
Campers remaining after the 5:00PM pick-up time will be charged $1 per minute for care provided. Additional care charged will be kept on the parents account and payment for these additional fees will need to be remitted by the last Friday of each camp week or risk subsequent sessions.

2014 Camp registration will open on Wednesday, March 19th. A link to the online registration form will appear on the
Registration page at
9:00AM Wednesday morning. Registration will close the Friday before each session begins.
Each desired camp session requires individual enrollment and registration per
Wait lists will be available for filled sessions. Late enrollment is allowed if space permits but a late fee of $50 will be applied for those enrolling after 5PM the Friday before the session.
Written cancellation will be required for any refund. You may also email your cancelation request to firstname.lastname@example.org. A full refund will be granted, less a $75 administrative fee, if the cancellation is received before May 1. NO refunds will be granted less than 30 days prior.
