*After Fall Break, the price of Unlimited Fall Group X is reduced to $50.  This is also the time that we reevaluate classes with low participation.  Due to very low or no participation, the following Fall Group X classes have been discontinued, effective Monday, Oct. 19:

Saturdays 8:15am Summer Abs

Saturdays  8:45am 75-min Xtreme CycleFit

Wednesdays 7:30pm Gravity Strength

Thursdays 7:30pm TRX Suspension Training

What is Trekking?
Trekking is an interval workout on a treadmill, choreographed to music. You will simulate flat roads as well as hills by changing your grade setting on the treadmill.  Be ready to experience everything from comfortable stroll to a breathless sprint, as “Virtual Brook” guides you through the 48-minute workout.

What is Virtual Cycling?
Virtual Cycling is an interval workout on a Spinning, upright, or recumbent bike. You will ride through all sorts of various terrain by manipulating your speed, resistance, and/or body position.  Put on your biker shorts and be ready to ride like the wind as "Virtual Brook" guides you through the 48-minute workout.

Instructors
Fitness Instructor-In-Training

We offer a 10-week training course that teaches students the knowledge and skills to become group exercise instructors. Candidates must have experience participating in group exercise classes, an interest in exercise science, and be able to count music. Significant out-of-class practice is required. Auditions to become a SMU Group X instructor are held at the end of every Fitness Instructor-In-Training course; instructor opportunities are contingent on passing the ACE or AFAA instructor certification.
