*Free Boot Camp at the Sorority Park;  Every Tues/Thurs: Oct 19 – Nov 19 at 6:00am

Five week outdoor workout program that suits everyone (no experience, beginners, and advance). The fresh air, sunrise and motivational exercise jogs, pushups, sit-ups and more will energize you for the rest of your day. This is a great chance to get your workout in and out of the way for the day.

 

Personal Training Prep Course

Every semester, we offer a 10-week training course that teaches students the knowledge and skills to become personal trainers.  Candidates must have experience in resistance training, an interest in exercise science, and a passion for people.  Significant out-of-class practice is required.  If you are interested in applying to join this class, please download this document.  Class enrollment is limited to five so don’t wait; apply today.  Auditions to become a SMU Personal Trainer may be held at the end of the course, depending on the needs of the SMU Personal Training program at that time.  Employment opportunities are contingent on passing the ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE, AFAA, or Cooper Institute trainer certification.

One Session: Bronze Package
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Test, and one 1-hour personal training session.

Three Sessions: Better Bronze Package
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Test, and three 1-hour personal training sessions.

Five Sessions: Silver Package
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Test, and five 1-hour personal training sessions.

Ten Sessions: Gold Package
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Test, ten 1-hour personal training sessions, and a post-training Fitness Test.
Cost: $500.00
 
Thirty Sessions: Platinum Package
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Test, thirty 1-hour personal training sessions, accessibility to Gravity™ Personal Training, and a post-training Fitness Test.
Cost: $1,350.00
 
Pairs Package: Ten Shared Sessions
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Testing, 10-Personal Training Sessions, accessibility to Gravity Personal Training, and post-training fitness assessment testing for you and another person, together. Your training goals must be similar to make training more efficient.
Cost: $270.00 each person
 
Group Package: Fitness Five
This package includes a Fitness Orientation, Fitness Assessment Testing, 10-Personal Training Session, accessibility to Gravity Personal Training, and post-training fitness assessment testing for you and four other people, together. Your training goals must be similar to make training fore efficient.
Cost: $150.00 each person

You will be contacted within 48-hours of signing up for a personal training package, to schedule your complimentary Fitness Assessment Test and Fitness Orientation with a SMU Personal Trainer. Your personal fitness goals will be discussed in the orientation and your body weight, body fat, circumference measurements, muscular endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance will all be tested in the fitness test.
