Room Reservations and Special Events at the Dedman Center
Reservations for rooms and facilities must be made in writing on the reservation forms or through email and presented to Sarah Morgan at morgan@smu.edu  All reservation requests are subject to approval.

Guidelines for Room Reservations at the SMU Rec Center
• A representative of an SMU Student Chartered Organization can reserve non-activity spaces (classrooms, studios, conference room) if the activity they are hosting is for SMU Students by filling out a room reservation card at the Main Desk or emailing Sarah Morgan at morgan@smu.edu. All reservations must be submitted a minimum of 5 business days before the scheduled event.
Guidelines for Reserving Areas for Special Events at the SMU Rec Center
• Contact Sarah Morgan at morgan@smu.edu or 214-768-4823 to schedule a meeting to discuss the availability of space and feasibility of your event. A meeting must be scheduled at least three weeks prior to the event and the appropriate paperwork (link below) must be filled out to the best of your ability prior to the meeting.

What constitutes a "Special Event" reservation rather than a room reservation? One or all of the following:
• Any student group that is charging an admission to the event they are holding must reserve the space as a "Special Event" reservation.
• Any non-student group or student group inviting non-students to participate must reserve the space as a "Special Event" reservation.
• Any student group holding an activity that will last 2 or more hours in duration must reserve the space as a "Special Event" reservation.
