SMU BADMINTON CLUB

Meet-ups

  • Who:  Everyone in the SMU community is welcome at our meet-ups!  Experience is not required and skills range from beginning to very experienced players.  Current and past badminton players include undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty/staff who come from many departments and culturally diverse backgrounds.  We would love to have you join us!
  • Where:  Dedman Recreation Center
  • When: Thursdays 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. during regular semesters. Summer hours may differ.
  • Why: Exercise, learn or practice badminton, socialize, have fun and meet new friends!

  • Congratulations to Youfeng Nie (men's singles winner), Rahul Pula (men's singles runner-up), Clair Henry (women's singles and doubles winner), Prerana Navada (women's singles runner-up, doubles winner), Sankalp Mavinkurve and Vinod Arora (men's doubles winners), Youfeng Nie and Bo Chen (men's doubles runners-up), and Fang Duan and Buffy McClellan (women's doubles runners-up) for winning either first or second place in the SMU Badminton Tournament, Spring 2009, jointly hosted by the SMU Badminton Club and the Chinese Student Union!! (4/23/09)
  • Pictures will now be posted on the SMU Badminton Club Group on Facebook (4/20/2009).
  • An election was held to revise phrasing in Constitution and elect new leaders (4/2/2009).

    Membership

    Members of the SMU badminton club should register on Access. If you have not done so yet, please follow the instructions  here. Players will be notified of any cancellations or upcoming events through the mailing list on Access. If you are not an SMU student but would like to join and receive updates, please email our Webmaster, Elizabeth (Buffy) McClellan.
