Michael Phelps Swim Champ Challenge
Swim like the champ! Before the end of 2008, swim 9,000 meters - five times the distance that Michael Phelps swam at the Beijing Olympics. Just ask for the Swim Challenge binder at the pool, and log your distance each time you swim. Those who complete the challenge will win pride, fitness, and a FREE T-Shirt!

Free Swim Stroke Clinic
Come to the indoor pool to swim laps and receive free stroke advice. A certified swim instructor will be at the pool to help you perfect your technique. Take Advantage of this FREE opportunity!

Our lap lanes are always open during pool hours. During the evening water fitness classes (5:30PM-6:15PM) only three lap lanes will be open.
American Red Cross Lifeguard
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Lifeguard Training Challenges
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course is to teach lifeguard candidates the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and injuries. This is another great opportunity to receive training on the SMU campus for a fun and rewarding summer job!

American Red Cross Lifeguard Challenge (includes CPR/AED and First Aid)

Water Safety Instructor
American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course
This course teaches potential instructors the skills needed to lead American Red Cross swimming lessons. Water Safety Instructors will be certified and able to teach American Red Cross Levels I-VI as well as Parent and Child Aquatics classes and basic water safety classes. This class is a great step towards a rewarding job for SMU students!

Adult & Child Private Instructions
Adult & child private lessons are available on an individual basis. These lessons are designed for non-swimmers, beginning swimmers or for those at a higher level in need of stroke refinement. The instructor will be in the water and be able to demonstrate each stroke. Each 30-minute session is $30 or a 5-pack can be purchased for $125. Call today to register!
