Learn to Swim (Group) Lessons

Missed Classes-It is extremely important for the benefit of each student to attend all class sessions. No make-up class sessions will be offered and no refunds will be given for missed lessons.

Cancellations- Sessions that do not meet the minimum registration of 3 students will be cancelled, and full refunds will be given to registered participants.  If a class is cancelled due to unforeseen facility closures or conflicts, the activity will be rescheduled.

Registration- All students must be registered at least one week before the first day of class. To register, contact Ty McDonald, Aquatics Coordinator, at tymcdonald@smu.edu.   Payment is due on the first day of instruction.

Parent/Guardian Observation- Parents or guardians of students enrolled in SMU Aquatics classes are welcome to observe the class. Please respect the instructor and other students in the class by sitting on the benches in the pool area or observing from the lobby above the pool. SMU Aquatics strives to maintain small, manageable classes and highly trained instructors, therefore it will not be necessary for a parent or guardian to be seated directly next to the pool. Lifeguards will be on duty during the class to monitor the area for the safety of each individual student.

**Please Note- Children are only allowed in the pool during their scheduled lessons.  Swimming is not allowed in the indoor pool before or after lessons.  The Falls area is prohibited to minors at all times, excluding family hours for Dedman Center Members.

Please stop by the Dedman Center for more information or contact Lindsey Gavlick at 214-768-9916 or lgavlick@smu.edu.
