Peruna Handlers
The Peruna Handlers are a group of four to six people who are selected to care for our live mascot. They are required to give a great deal of attention to our university icon. They are present at football games and make special appearances throughout the year.
Tryouts:
Date: April 27th 2013
Time: 5pm - 7:30pm
Location: Ford Stadium
Tryouts will consist of an interview and three timed runs: 120-yard run, 120-yard run with Spirit Flags, and 120-yard run with Peruna. Previous experience with horses is a plus, but not required. For more information or for an application please contact Tracy Veliz at tveliz@smu.edu.
