RESEARCH SUMMARY

My program of research involves several interrelated lines of research, whose objectives converge on improving outcomes for people suffering from anxiety. Ongoing studies focus on (a) the identification of mechanisms underlying the efficacy of established interventions for the anxiety disorders; (b) the link between anxiety and certain health behaviors (e.g., exercise, smoking) as well as physical illness; and (c) the evaluation of novel treatment and augmentation strategies.
