RESEARCH SUMMARY

My current research focuses on the application of recent advances in statistical methods to psychological research. New tools for statistical analysis allow us to answer questions we never could address before. They also provide greater power to detect effects than previous analytical techniques. In particular, I am interested in applying hierarchical linear modeling and structural equation modeling to longitudinal data analysis. My goal is to develop tools that allow us to understand the processes which drive individual change over time. Once we understand the factors that are truly responsible for change, we can design more effective treatments and interventions.
