SOUTHERN METHODIST UNIVERSITY. The Department of Psychology in Dedman College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in Clinical Psychology (Position No. 00053339) and in Social Psychology (05754). Both positions begin in August, 2012. A Ph.D. is required at the time of the appointment. For both positions, candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain a highly productive research program that can generate external funding and that would appeal to graduate students in our APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. The ability to teach a graduate level Assessment/Psychometrics course is highly desired. Current faculty members have developed strong collaborative relationships with medical centers and community agencies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, offering access to special clinical populations and high-tech medical facilities. Our research facilities have recently been renovated to include multiple interview/therapy rooms, digital observational equipment, and state-of-the-art computer technology. The Department of Psychology at Southern Methodist University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship/Visiting Research Professor position involving independent research under supervision in the area of anxiety disorders and behavior medicine. Successful candidates will be involved in both research and clinical responsibilities and have extensive opportunities for manuscript preparation and additional collaborative ongoing research. The position will provide post-doctoral clinical hours and supervision necessary for licensure. Search remains open until position is filled*. Salary is competitive and consistent with NIH guidelines for postdoctoral fellows. Appointments are one year, renewable to two.
