PSRD policy for pre-majors in 2009-2010
Revised Policy for 2009-2010 on Academic Probation, Suspension, Reinstatement, and Dismissal as to Pre-Majors
SMU’s policies relating to satisfactory academic progress are currently set out on pages 38-41 of the 2008-2009 Undergraduate Catalog. These pages include some policies that apply throughout the University. In addition, these pages include the policies on academic progress that each undergraduate degree-granting School has issued.
The set of policies on these pages includes the current policy applicable to pre-majors. Starting in Fall 2009, a revised version of this policy—the policy applicable to pre-majors—will become effective. This new “Probation, Suspension, Reinstatement, and Dismissal” (PSRD) policy was approved by the Dedman College Faculty Council, Dean Candelaria, and Provost Ludden.
Because the 2009-2010 Catalog is still some months away, this site provides a copy of the new PSRD policy that will apply to pre-majors starting in 2009-2010.

The implementation of the new policy will be ongoing throughout the Spring and Summer 2009. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions about implementation, or would like additional information, please feel free to contact the Dean or Associate Dean of Dedman College.
