SMU Director of the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center

Dr. Sue Bierman has been named the position of Director of the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center. Dr. Bierman has been with the Center for five years, and has established herself as an academic leader at SMU. She is highly regarded by her colleagues at A-LEC and around the Campus.

Dr. Bierman has worked and supervised the support of student athletes at SMU in the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center since 2006.

She has also participated in university committees such as SLING, Academic Records Committee, Transfer Committee, Summer School, and Athletic Council. Dr. Bierman received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. from Texas A&M University with major fields of study in Psychology, Counseling, and Higher Education Administration. Before joining SMU, Dr. Bierman was an Assistant Professor and Coordinator for Student Services at Butler University.
