Student Appeals and Complaints

At SMU, various policies reflect the SMU community’s collective judgment about the academic, disciplinary, and academic honesty policies and procedures that best serve the interests of students and the overall academic community.

Students sometimes might seek waiver of or deviation from these policies, or might disagree with the application of the policy. Depending on the nature of the student’s request or complaint, a different process might apply.
