Provost's Finance Office
Provost’s Finance Office.
Under the direction of John Whaley, the Finance Office oversees budget preparation, reviews expenses, tracks the Provost’s financial commitments, and assists with staff hiring for all units reporting to the Provost. The staff, which includes Financial Officer Anna Bland Aston, works with departments such as the Central University Libraries and Enrollment Services to foster understanding of the University’s financial processes. The Office closely collaborates with the Controller’s Office and Budget Office, and conducts special projects which cross academic divisions. In addition to his financial duties, Mr. Whaley is the campus director for
SMU-in-Legacy located in suburban Plano, TX.
