SMU Director of Institutional Research

Dr. Michael Tumeo named Director of Institutional Research at SMU

Dr. Michael Tumeo has accepted the position as Director of Institutional Research at SMU. He first served as the Assistant Director of Institutional Research for five years and then became the department's Associate Director in 2011. He has become an important member of the Institutional Research Office at SMU and has served with distinction on the recent SACS Reaccreditation Committee.

Dr. Tumeo received his undergraduate and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington, and prior to joining SMU in 2006, he was an Institutional Research Associate at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Tumeo on his appointment, and when you see him on Campus welcome him in his new role. He will begin a search to identify an Assistant Director to replace his previous responsibilities in the near future.
