APPLICATION TIMELINE
(for those applying
to medical and dental schools)

The application process for medical or dental school consists of
a great deal more than completing an on-line form. Because you
are proposing to enter a profession intimately concerned with
people's lives and well-being, you should expect to prepare
carefully to assume the responsibility this entails. The
Application Checklist provides a
four-year guideline you can use to assist you in your preparation.
The timeline depicted here is a guide for the year in which you
intend to apply.
Ultimately, you have the responsibility for obtaining information
and ensuring timely submission of all materials. Become
familiar with the TMDSAS,
AADSAS,
AMCAS and
AACOMAS webpages. Check the
websites of those schools to which you intend to apply.
Read all directions carefully!
The process of applying to medical or dental school does not end
with submission of an application. It doesn't even end with
the interview. Pay attention to deadlines for ranking your
choice (TMDSAS only). If required, submit fall transcripts.
File financial aid forms. Submit spring transcripts if
required.
For information on testing check the
Application Services and Testing
page in this website.
