Current Research

Most of my work is in the philosophy of perception, focusing on four distinct, but related, issues: (1) Conceptualism and the non-conceptual content of experience, (2) whether looking the same as is transitive or non-transitive, (3) the ontology of experience and temporal experiences in particular, and (4) the nature of appearances. Other related interests include perceptual projectivism, and the difference between naïve realism and intentionalism. I also dabble in epistemology: I've worked on epistemic norms, the nature and kinds of defeaters, and plan to do some more work on the epistemology of perception in the near future.
