130112 12:37 AM. Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Assist Other Agency. Park Cities Plaza. A Dallas Police Department Officer cited and released a student to a sober party for driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Closed.
130113 11:40 AM. Fire Alarm (Trouble Alarm). Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Officers and the University Park Fire Department responded to the report of an odor resembling smoke. The source of the odor could not be determined. The SMU Fire Safety Officer also responded and could not locate the origin of the odor. The odor dissipated and the occupant was instructed to contact SMU PD if the odor returned. Closed.
130115 2:21 PM. Theft. Hughes Trigg Student Center/Computer Corner. A staff member reported the theft on an IPAD at this location. Open.

130130 10:03 PM. Fire Alarm. Mary Hay Hall. Officers and the University Park Fire Department responded to a fire alarm system activation at this location. The source of the smoke was from a burnt ping pong ball. Closed.

130132 3:33 AM. Fire Alarm. 3109 Daniel Ave./Panhallenic House. The fire alarm system was activated at this location due to rain leaking into a smoke detector from a recent storm.
130133 4:03 AM. Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. Sigma Phi Epsilon House. A student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for underage drinking. Closed.
130134 4:33 AM. Criminal Mischief. Sigma Phi Epsilon. An unknown individual spray painted the front door at this location. Open.
130135 7:07 PM. Fire Alarm. Shuttles Hall. The fire alarm system was activated at this location due to burned food in the microwave. Officers and UPFD responded and cleared the scene and reset the alarm. Closed.
130136 8:18 PM. Aggravated Assault/Aggravated Kidnapping/Personal Hazing Offense/Unlawful Restraint. Sigma Phi Epsilon House. A student reported he was assaulted and held against his will at this location. The case is under investigation by the SMU Police Department. 130139 10:10 PM. Criminal Mischief. SMU Alley. A student reported gravy was smeared on his vehicle windows. Open.

130140 7:10 AM. Fire Alarm. Gerald Ford Stadium. The fire alarm was activated by a leak in a hot water pipe. UPFD and officers responded and cleared the scene. Closed.
130142 2:01 PM. Fire Alarm. Gamma Phi Beta House. The fire alarm system was accidently activated at this location. UPFD and officers responded and cleared the scene. Closed.
130143 5:05 PM. Fraudulent Use of a Handicapped Placard. Law Parking Garage. A student was using a placard that was not assigned to her. It was confiscated and mailed back to the state. Closed.

130145 2:29 AM. Off Campus Criminal Incident/Possession of Marijuana. 3400 Rosedale. A student was arrested and booked into the University Park Jail by the University Park Police Department for having drugs in his possession. The student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer regarding the incident. Closed.
130146 9:52 PM. Criminal Mischief. Moody Parking Garage. A gate arm was damaged at this location. Open.

130151 2:01 PM. Duty on Striking an Unattended Vehicle. Dyer Court. A student reported an unknown individual struck his vehicle with their vehicle but did not leave a note. Open.
130152 2:27 PM. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Boaz Hall. A student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for having drug paraphernalia in his room. Closed.
130154 10:22 PM. Fire Alarm. Sigma Chi House. The fire alarm system was activated by a faulty smoke detector. A maintenance request was made. Closed.
130155 10:34 PM. Fire Alarm. Pi Kappa Alpha House. A leak in the sprinkler room cause the fire alarm system to activate. UPFD responded and ordered a fire watch until the system could be repaired. Closed.

130157 3:29 AM. Off Campus/Public Intoxication. 2941 Milton St. A student was cited and arrested by the University Park Police Department. The student was booked into the University Park Jail. The student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for this offense. Closed.

130160 9:29 AM. Hazing. Sigma Alpha Epsilon. SMU PD received a report of hazing at this location. The case is under investigation. Open.
130161 9:57 AM. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Sigma Alpha Epsilon House. A student was cited and released for having drug paraphernalia. He was also referred to the Student Conduct Officer. Closed.

130165 12:40 PM. Fire Alarm/Failure to Evacuate During Fire Alarm. Sigma Phi Epsilon. The fire alarm system was activated due to burnt food in the kitchen area. Officers and UPFD responded and cleared the smoke and reset the alarm. A student who failed to evacuate during the alarm was referred to the Student Conduct Officer. Closed.
130166 4:48 PM. Assault. South Quad Lot. On 02/17/2013 at approximately 10:00 PM, several unknown individuals assaulted a student and called him names. This case is being investigated as a "Hate Crime", characterized by racial bias. Open

130169 12:16 PM. Fire Alarm. Law Garage. A water leak was causing low pressure in the sprinkler system at this location. Officers and UPFD responded as well as SMU Fire Safety. The SMU Fire Safety Officer scheduled a service check of the system. Closed.

Two other students were referred to the Student Conduct Officer for underage possession of alcohol. Closed.
130182 9:06 AM. Criminal Mischief. Umphrey Lee Parking Lot. A student drove his vehicle with a boot on and damaged his vehicle. Closed.
130184 9:22 AM. Fire Alarm. Caruth Hall. Officers and UPFD responded to a water flow alarm. SMU Fire Safety was on the scene and called for maintenance. Closed.

Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID/Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle. 3200 Binkley Ave. A student was cited and released for underage drinking and driving. The was also referred to the Student Conduct Officer for that offense, having a fake ID and having an alcohol beverage in his vehicle. Closed.
