120494    4:18 AM.    Off Campus Criminal Incident/Sexual Assault:    Off Campus/3221 Rosedale.    A non affiliated female reported to University Park Police she was sexually assaulted by a current SMU student. Pending investigation by University Park PD.  Open.     CRIME ALERT ISSUED.

120498    7:41 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A student reported theft of his bicycle.  The theft occurred sometime between 7:20 -7:41 PM.    Open.

120501    10:18 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A student reported theft of his bicycle.  The theft occurred sometime between 8:30 - 10:00 PM.    Open.

120502    12:28 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    Public Safety Officer reported damage to two floor pillars.    Open.

120503    1:17 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Cockrell-McIntosh Hall/5904 Bishop Blvd.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

120504    2:35 AM.    Driving While License Invalid:    6100 Bishop Blvd.    A non affiliated person was arrested and booked into Dallas County Jail for driving while license suspended.    Closed.

120506    11:20 AM.    Burglary of Vehicle:   Dyer Court Lot.  A student reported theft of his Tom Tom GPS.  The theft occurred sometime between 5/5 4:00 PM - 5/6 11:20 AM.    Open.

120507    11:21 AM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    Dyer Court Lot.    A student reported theft of several items from his vehicle. The theft occurred sometime between 5/6 3:00 AM-11:16 AM.   Open.

120508    11:21 AM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    3000 SMU Blvd./Alley.   A student reported theft of his GPS.  The theft occurred sometime between  5/3 12:00PM - 5/6 11:21 AM.    Open.

120509    11:37 AM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    Dyer Court Lot.    A student reported theft of his IPOD, power cord and loose change.  The theft occurred sometime between 5/6 10:52 AM.- 5/6 11:37 AM.   Open.

120511    1:36 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Carr Collins Hall/3300 University.     UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined it was caused by burnt food in the microwave.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

120512    10:38 PM.    Theft:    Smith Hall/6020 Hillcrest Avenue.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for theft of several clothing items    Closed.

120513    9:21 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A student reported theft of his wallet. The theft occurred on 5/6 sometime between 4:30 -6:30 PM.    Open.

120515    11:02 AM.    Duty on Striking Unattended Vehicle:    Heroy Lot/3225 Daniel Avenue.    A staff member reported some unknown person struck her vehicle and failed to leave contact information.    Open.

120517    1:56 PM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    Sorority Row/3034 Daniel Avenue.    A student reported some unknown person broke a window to her vehicle and is missing a large tackle box containing jewelry.    Open.


MAY 8

120518    11:37 AM.    Burglary/Criminal Mischief:    Phi Delta Theta House/3072 SMU Blvd.    A staff member reported theft of a fraternity composite photo and fraternity symbols. Damages were also reported.  Open.

120519    14:02 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A student reported theft of his wallet containing cash, credit cards and SMU ID.    Open.

120520    2:13 PM.    Fire:    Auxiliary Services/6210 N. Central Expressway.   Dallas Fire Department responded to a blown transformer which was on fire.  DFD cleared after Oncor arrived for repairs.      Closed.

120525    4:40 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Cockrell-McIntosh Hall/5904 Bishop Blvd.    It was determined steam from the shower set off the smoke detector.  The fire panel was reset and all cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

120528    7:16 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Delta Delta Delta House/3100 University Blvd.    UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined it was caused by steam from an iron that activated the smoke detector.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.   


MAY 13

120529    7:46 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Hughes Trigg Student Center/3140 Dyer Street.    The Central University Libraries micro van's door was found damaged.    Open.


MAY 14  

120530    7:35 AM.    Loud Noise/Off Campus:    Off Campus/3800 University Blvd.     A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for a loud noise violation.  On May 7, 2012 at approximately 12:05 AM, University Park Police issued a student a citation for loud noise complaint.    Closed.

120531    7:40 AM.    Loud Noise/Off Campus:    Off Campus/3106 Rosedale Avenue.     A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for a loud noise violation. On May 9, 2012 at approximately 11:00 PM, University Park Police issued a student a warning citation for loud noise complaint.  Closed.

120549    2:28 PM.    Criminal Trespass Warning/Assist Other Agency:       Park Cities Plaza/CVS/3000 Mockingbird.      A non affiliated person was issued a criminal trespass warning.    Closed.

120553    1:01 AM.    Theft:    Moody Coliseum/6024 Airline Rd.   A former student reported theft of her cell phone. The incident occurred on 5/25 between 6:00 - 6:30 PM.    Open.

120555    3:34 AM.    Assist Other Agency/Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle:   Off Campus/Dallas/South Lot.    DPD responded to an abandon stolen vehicle. Vehicle was abandon on the SMU campus.    Closed.

120556    3:38 PM.    Aggravated Assault/Criminal Mischief/Criminal Trespass:    Residential Commons Construction Site/6000 Airline Rd.    A non affiliated man entered private property, caused damaged to a crane on the construction site and made threats to a peace officer.      Closed.

120559    1:19 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Peyton Hall/3325 Peyton Parkway.    Fire Safety Officer and SMU Police responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined it was caused by burnt popcorn in the microwave.    Fire Safety Officer reset the fire panel and cleared the scene with no further incident.     Closed.

120562    5:27 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Fincher Bldg./6212 Bishop Blvd.    UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined the cause of the activation was unknown.  UPFD reset the alarm leaving it in trouble status.  Closed.

120563    8:32 AM.    Fraudulent,Substandard, or Fictitious Degree:  SMU Police Department/3128 Dyer Street.  A non affiliated person has forged a diploma, staged a graduation and changed the name on a  student's transcript.    Closed.

120564    12:09 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Pi Beta Phi House/3101 Daniel Avenue.    UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined it was caused by construction workers who were sanding a door and activated a smoke detector.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.
