120667   2:13 AM    Driving While Intoxicated:    6100 Bishop Blvd.    A non-affiliated man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated after almost striking construction equipment.  The man was transported to the Dallas County Jail.  Closed.

AUGUST 5

120668    12:11 AM    Criminal Trespass:    Park Cities Plaza.    SMU and University Park officers responded to a report of a suspicious person.  The man was found to have an active criminal trespass warning.  The man was arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail.  Closed.

120672    2:46 PM   Theft:    Fondren Library West-Degolyer.    An unknown person stole another person's laptop at Fondren Library.  Open.

120675    1:37 PM.    Arrest on Warrants:    2900 SMU Blvd.    A non affiliated person was arrested on a warrant and booked into Dallas County jail.    Closed.

120678    1:49 PM.    Fire Alarm.    Hammond Library/Owens Fine Art Center.    The fire alarm system was activated due to a water flow alarm at this location.  UPFD also responded.  No water flow problem was located.  UPFD cleared the alarm and reset the panel.    Closed.

120679    2:07 PM.    Arrest on Warrants:    Fondren Library Center.    A non affiliated person was arrested on a warrant and booked into Dallas County jail.    Closed.

120680    2:18 PM    Theft:    Moody Coliseum.    An unknown person stole stole a copy machine from an athletic office.    Open.

120698    8:30 AM    Theft:    Expressway Tower.    A non-affiliated person reported the theft of their trailer and supplies from the parking lot of the Expressway Tower.    Open.

120704    9:55 PM    Purchasing/Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor:    Sigma Phi Epsilon.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for purchasing alcohol for a minor/furnishing alcohol to a minor.    Closed.

120705    10:41 PM    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Alcohol by Minor:    A student was cited, transported to jail and referred to the Student Conduct office for consumption of alcohol by a minor and another student was referred for possession of alcohol by a minor.    Closed.

120706    11:19 PM    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID/Failure to Obey a University Police Officer:    Off Campus.    A student was referred tot the Student Conduct Office for failure to obey a university police officer, consumption of alcohol by a minor, and possession of fictitious license. Another student was referred for failure to obey a university police officer and consumption of alcohol by a minor. Another student was referred for consumption of alcohol by a minor. Three other students were also referred for failure to obey a university police officer.    Closed.

120708    3:22 AM     Fire Alarm:    Hamon Arts Library.    Officers responded to a fire alarm, upon arrival the building was in full active alarm. The building was check and no sign of fire or smoke was found. University Park Fire Department responded and checked the building. The alarm was reset without any issues.    Closed.

120712    12:40 AM    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Pi Kappa Alpha House.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for consumption of alcohol by a minor.    Closed.

120714    2:20 PM    Burglary (No Force):    Boaz Hall.    Two students reported the theft of money and earrings. The theft occurred sometime between 10:00 AM-1:00 PM.    Open.

120715    2:49 PM    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.    A student reported the theft of his sunglasses.    Open.

120718    1:38 AM    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    SMU Blvd.    A student was issued a citation and referred to the Student Conduct Office for consumption of alcohol by a minor.    Closed.

120721    9:27 AM.    Theft:    Boaz Hall.    A student reported her jeans were stolen from a dryer in the laundry room.    Open.

120723    4:01 PM.   Fire Alarm:     Kappa Alpha Theta House/3108 University Blvd.    The fire alarm system was activated by a steamer in one of the rooms on the second floor.  UPFD responded, walked the building and reset the alarm.    Closed.

120725    12:17 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall.    A student was referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

120726    12:38 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall.    A student was referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

120727    1:35 AM.   Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Cockrell McIntosh Hall.    A student was referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

120728    2:06 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    Morrison McGinnis Hall.    A student was referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking and having a fake ID.    Closed.

120729    1:46 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Cockrell McIntosh Hall.    A student was referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

120730    3:42 AM.    Fire Safety Violation/Loud Noise Complaint:    Pi Kappa Alpha House.    The house was referred to the Conduct Officer for shooting fire works from the backyard of the house.  The house was also referred for blocking hallways with furniture.    Closed.

120731 9:20 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Hamon Arts Library.    The fire alarm system was activated and UPFD also responded.  No cause could be located for the activation.  The information was given to the fire safety officer for follow-up.    Closed.

120732    10:14 AM.    Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    Boaz Hall RLSH Office.    A staff member found a fake ID on the ground along with a student's debit card.  The student was referred to the Conduct Officer for having a fake ID.    Closed.

120734    2:06 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Embrey Engineering Building.    The fire alarm system was activated in this building and UPFD also responded.  The source for the activation was a box that fell against a water pump valve that supplies water for the fire suppression system.  The valve was reset and the alarm was silenced.    Closed.

120735    2:22 PM.    Reckless Damage or Destruction:    Airline Parking Garage.    A student reported she found scratches on her vehicle door.    Open.

120736    6:09 PM.    Burglary:    Dedman Life Sciences Bldg.    A faculty member reported her purse was stolen out of her office.  She called back on 08/27/2012 and reported her purse had been recovered and was located at the lost and found in the Hughes Trigg Student Center.  Nothing was missing from the purse.  Case closed.

120737    9:36 PM.    Off Campus Incident:    University Park.    A student was cited by UPPD for a loud noise complaint.    Closed.

120738    11:40 PM.    Fire Alarm:    3064 SMU Blvd.    The fire alarm system was activated and UPFD also responded.  No cause could be found for the alarm.    Closed.

120739    11:50 PM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Phi Gamma Delta House.    A student was referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

AUGUST 25

120740    1:39 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Criminal Mischief:    Dyer Court Lot.    Three students were referred to the Conduct Officer for underage drinking and tampering with "stay off the grass" signs posted along 2900 SMU Blvd.    Closed.

120742    12:57.    Assault/Public Intoxication/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Theft of Service:  3072 SMU Blvd.  Two students were referred to the Conduct Officer for failure to pay a cab driver and assault.  One of the student was arrested and booked into the University Park Jail for being intoxicated

120745    3:17 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Evading Arrest or Detention:   Barr Pool.     A student was referred to the Conduct Officer underage drinking and running from the police.    Closed.

AUGUST 27

120751    8:09 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Mary Hay Hall.    The fire alarm system was activated by burned popcorn in the microwave.  UPFD also responded and cleared the panel.    Closed.

120752    10:10 PM.    Sexual Assault:    Carr Collins Hall/North Side.    A student reported she was sexually assaulted by an unknown white male in a dark hoodie.  This case is under investigation by the SMU Police Department.  A CRIME ALERT WAS ISSUED.

120753    12:54 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for consumption of alcohol by a minor.    Closed.

120754    1:19 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for consumption of alcohol by a minor.    Closed.

120762    4:23 PM.    Theft:    Boaz Lot.    A student reported the theft of their bike.    Open.

120763    6:22 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Owens Arts Center.    Officers responded to a fire alarm, upon arrival the panel indicated horn and strobe module activation on the first floor of the Hamon Library but no specific location of smoke detector activation or pull station. University Park Fire Department arrived and cleared the building. The alarm was reset and units cleared without further incident.    Closed.

120765    6:57 PM.    Criminal Mischief:    Binkley Parking Garage.    Officer responded to a broken gate arm.    Open.

AUGUST 29

120771    11:17 AM.    Theft:    Owens Arts Center.    A student reported the theft of the front wheel of their bike.    Open.

AUGUST 30

120782    3:29 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Hamon Arts Library.    Officers responded to a fire alarm, upon arrival the panel showed the problem came from the third floor smoke detectors. There was no smoke or fire on the third floor. University Park Fire department arrived on scene and cleared it.    Closed.

120786    8:55 PM.    Theft:    Owens Arts Center.    A student reported the theft of their bike.    Closed.
