 JUNE 1

110627    3:19 PM.    Theft:    Off Campus/Lewisville Texas.    A staff member reported theft of her SMU Dell Computer from her residence.   The theft occurred on 5/26 sometime between 1:40-2:00 PM.   Open. 

JUNE 2

110628    4:05 PM.    Failure to Leave Identification:    Dedman Parking Lot/5800 Airline.    A staff member reported some unknown person struck her vehicle and failed to leave contact information.    Open.

JUNE 3

110629    6:01 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/Bike Rack/6000 Airline Rd.    A staff member reported theft of her bicycle.  The theft occurred sometime between 4:05 - 5:45 PM.    Open.

110630    1:27 PM.    Public Intoxication:    6200 Bishop Blvd.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place.    Closed.

JUNE 5

110632    8:11 AM.    Theft:    Snider Hall/3305 Dyer Street.    A student reported theft of his IPod.  Open.

110633    1:51 PM.    Failure to Leave Identification:    Heroy Parking Lot/3200 University.    A non affiliated person was issued a University Park citation for failing to leave contact information after striking an unattended vehicle.    Closed.

110636    5:08 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Phi Gamma Delta/3064 SMU Blvd.    UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  The fire panel showed a smoke detector activation.  It was determined the smoke detector activation was caused by dust.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

110643    1:23 PM.    Burglary of a Building:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    A non affiliated person reported theft of a coin purse with cash in it.    Open.

110645    10:54 AM.    Burglary of a Building:    Mary Hay Hall/3323 Peyton Parkway.    A summer conference advisor reported theft of her IPOD.  The theft occurred on 6/3 between 7:15 - 4:45 PM.    Open

110646    1:32 PM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    South Quad Lot/6000 Ownby Drive.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

110647    4:51 PM.    Public Intoxication/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    6200 Bishop Blvd.    A student was issued a University Park citation, arrested, booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place and for possessing a fake ID.  Closed.

JUNE 12

110649    3:28 PM.    Burglary of Habitation:  Lambda Chi Alpha/Chapter Room/3004 Dyer Court.      A student reported theft of a projector and a Dell Laptop Computer. The theft occurred on 6/9 sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM.   Open.

JUNE 13

110650    11:39 AM.    Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle:    3000 Block Potomac Ave.      A contractor's vehicle was stolen from this location.  The vehicle was later abandoned and recovered by the Dallas Police Department.    Open.

110652    12:35 PM.    Theft/Criminal Trespass Warning:   3060 Mockingbird Lane/SMU Bookstore/Barnes and Noble.    A non-affiliated individual was arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail for stealing a video camera from the bookstore.    Closed.

110653    12:53 PM.       Theft:   6000 Airline Rd. /Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.    A staff member reported a theft at this location.    Open.

110654    4:38 PM.    Fire Alarm:   6004 Hillcrest Avenue/Perkins Hall.    The fire alarm was activated by Design Systems group while they were performing maintenance.    Closed.

110656    10:10 PM.    Driving While Intoxicated/Possession of Dangerous Drugs:    Binkley Ave. at Bishop Blvd.    A non-affiliated individual was arrested and booked into the University Park Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol and prescription medication.    Closed. 

JUNE 14

110657    4:14 AM.    Fire Alarm:    6000 Bishop Blvd./McElvaney Hall.    Officers and UPFD personnel responded to an active alarm at this location.  No cause could be found for the alarm.  A work order was created to have the alarm panel serviced.    Closed.

110659    1:50 PM.    Burglary:    3305 Dyer Street/Snider Hall.    A non-affiliated individual reported a theft.    Open.

110660    7:28 PM.    Theft:    6000 Airline Rd./Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.     A student reported the theft of her bicycle.   The theft occurred sometime between 6:15-7:15 PM.     Open.

JUNE 15

110662    2:55 PM.  Disorderly Conduct:  6100 Hillcrest Avenue/Owens Fine Arts Center/Greer Garson Theater:   Two juveniles visiting the campus were involved in an altercation.    Closed.

JUNE 16

110664    2:08 AM.    Driving While Intoxicated:    6211 Bishop Blvd.    A non affiliated person was arrested and booked into Dallas County jail for driving under the influence.    Closed.

110669    2:39 AM.   Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Off Campus/6656 Airline Rd.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place.    Closed.

110676    11:29 AM.    Burglary of Building:    Crum Basketball Center.    A staff member reported the theft of two pouches, the theft occurred sometime on 5/16.    Open.

JUNE 22   

110681    1:38 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Patterson Hall/SMU PD/3128 Dyer Street.   UPFD responded to an activated fire alarm.  UPFD was unable to reset or silence the fire panel.   Design Systems responded and determined the problem was in the fire panel system in the Data room.  Design Systems was able to reset the fire alarm panel. The panel in the Data room was not a Design System panel and a request for service was sent out.    Closed.

110683    9:39 AM.    Theft:    Perkins Natatorium/6024 Bishop Blvd.    A staff member reported theft of two cell phones and his wallet.   The theft occurred between on 6/22 between 8:15 - 8:45 AM.  Open.

110684    11:43 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Kappa Sigma House/3022 SMU Blvd.    UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined that steam from the shower had set off the smoke detector.  UPFD cleared with no further incident.  Closed.

 JUNE 23

110685    9:46 AM.    Arrested on Warrant:    3140 Dyer Street.    A non affiliated woman was arrested on multiple misdemeanor warrants.    Closed.

 JUNE 24

110688    8:55 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Loyd All Sports Center/LEC/5800 Ownby Drive.    UPFD responded to an active fire alarm.  The fire alarm indicated activation of a smoke detector on the 2nd Floor.  It was determined it was activated by a painter working next to the smoke detector.  UPFD authorized for the fire panel to be reset.  UPFD cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

110689    8:30 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A non affiliated person reported theft of his bicycle.    Open.

JUNE 25

110690    2:56 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Delta Delta Delta House/3100 University Blvd.    The house mom reported a large paving stone had been thrown through a window causing damage.    Open.

110691    3:05 AM.    Criminal Trespass:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A non affiliated person was arrested and booked into Dallas County jail for violation of a criminal trespass warning.    Closed.

110697    5:01 PM.    Theft:    Central Expressway Tower/Parking Lot/6116 Central Expressway.    A staff member reported theft of her vehicle's catalytic converter.    Open.

110702    4:18 PM.    Theft:    6000 Bishop/Bike Rack of Morrison & McGinnis.    A student reported theft of his bicycle.   The theft occurred on 6/28-29 sometime between 11:00 PM.- 7:00 AM.     Open.   

110703    6:18 PM.    Theft:   Gerald Ford Stadium/5801 Airline Rd.    A student reported theft of his cell phone.    The theft occurred on 6/29 between 6:00-6:05 PM.    Open.

110704    11:32 PM.    Theft:    Greer Garson Theater/6100 Hillcrest Avenue.    A non affiliated person reported theft of his cell phone.    The theft occurred on 6/29 between 3:45 -4:00 PM.    Open.

JUNE 30

110705    8:33 AM.    Failure to Leave Identification:    Off Campus/Garland Dealership.    A student was issued a citation by Garland PD and referred to the Student Conduct Office for failure to leave identifying information at the scene of an accident.    Closed.

110707    4:01 PM.    Theft:    Expressway Tower Parking Lot/6116 Central Expressway.    A staff member reported theft of his vehicle's catalytic converter.    The theft occurred sometime between 6:30 AM.- 12:00 PM.    Open.

110709    6:30 PM.    Theft:    Expressway Tower Parking Lot/6116 Central Expressway.    A staff member reported theft of his vehicle's catalytic converter.  The theft occurred sometime between 8:55 AM-5:00PM.    Open.
