110027 2:28 AM. Theft/Assist Other Agency: Off Campus/5336 Willis Avenue. Dallas Police Department took a theft report at an off campus location and identified the suspect as a student. Closed.
110028 10:51 AM. Fire Alarm: Delta Gamma House/3120 Daniel Avenue. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and determined the alarm was caused by steam from the shower. The fire panel was reset and UPFD cleared with no further incident. Closed.
110030 12:46 PM. Criminal Mischief: Blanton Student Service Bldg./6185 Airline Rd. A staff member reported a bumper sticker on the wall had been vandalized. Open.

110036 9:19 AM. Fire Alarm: Delta Delta Delta House/3100 University Blvd. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and determined the alarm was unfounded. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared. At approximately 9:48 AM another fire alarm was received and it was determined the fire panel was malfunctioning. Closed.
110037 9:59 AM. Criminal Mischief: Sigma Alpha Epsilon House/3005 Dyer Court. A staff member reported paint damage to the front steps and lion statues. The damages occurred sometime between 1/13- 11:00 PM. - 1/14- 8:00 AM. Open.
110039 4:35 PM. Theft/Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse: Delta Delta Delta House/3100 University Blvd. Five students reported theft of their jackets containing other personal items. The theft occurred on 1/14 sometime between 3:00 - 4:30 PM. Open.
110040 11:39 PM. Fire Alarm: Moody Parking Garage/3063 SMU Blvd. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. UPFD arrived and found a sprinkler head activated for an unknown reason. No active fire or smoke was detected. UPFD turned off the water and shut off the circuit to the power supply. SMU Fire Safety Officer was notified and called a sprinkler repair technician to respond and repair the sprinkler. Closed.

110041 12:24 PM. Theft: Boaz Hall/Men's Restroom/3200 Binkley Avenue. A student reported theft of his cell phone. The theft occurred on 1/13 at approximately 11:00 PM. Open.
110042 1:42 PM. Burglary of Vehicle: West Quad Lot/3300 Peyton Parkway. A student reported her property was taken from her vehicle while parked. Open.
110043 1:40 PM. Fire Alarm/Failure to Evacuate during Fire Alarm: Delta Delta Delta House/3100 University Blvd. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and found an activated smoke detector with unknown cause. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident. A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for failure to evacuate during a fire alarm. Closed.
110045 11:03 PM. Fire Alarm: Pi Kappa Alpha/3035 Dyer Street. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm and determined a water flow in the sensor of the sprinkler room. UPFD turned off the water sprinkler system in order for the alarm to reset. SMU Fire Safety Officer was notified and the on call graduate housing director responded for a fire watch of the house. A fire alarm company responded to repair the system and the fire watch was relieved. Closed.

110047 3:36 AM. Criminal Mischief: Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue. An officer reported writings on the wall of the second floor with permanent marker. Open.
110049 10:32 AM. Fire Alarm: Delta Delta Delta House/3100 University Blvd. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm with no signs of fire, smoke or water. The fire panel indicated second floor zone 2. UPFD checked the area and determined an unknown cause for the alarm. UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident. Closed.
110051 1:55 PM. Theft: Lambda Chi Alpha/3004 Dyer Court Circle. A student who is a member of the house reported theft of three fraternity members' composite pictures. The theft occurred sometime between 1/15 11:00 PM.- 1/16 9:00 AM. Open.

110054 11:20 PM. Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: Off Campus/3455 McFarlin. University Park Police issued a student a city ordinance citation for noise disturbance. The student was also referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking and for code of conduct violation. Closed.

110055 2:03 AM. Criminal Mischief/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: Meadow Museum Parking Garage/1st Level/North Exit/5900 Bishop Blvd. Two students were issued University Park citations for underage drinking. A gate arm was found damage and it is unknown who caused the damage. Closed.

Criminal Mischief: Meadows Museum Parking Garage/1sr Level/5900 Bishop Blvd. A student's vehicle was damaged by an 8 ft. flood warning pole/sign which was found on the driver's side window causing a crack on the front windshield. Scratches were also found on the rear right side of the vehicle's truck. Open.
110057 4:23 AM. Criminal Mischief: Boaz Hall/2nd Floor/3200 Binkley Avenue. A police Officer reported during a walkthrough of the dorm he observed damage to the west column. Open.

110072 5:43 PM. Fire Alarm: Meadows Museum/5900 Bishop Blvd. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. It was determined the alarm was caused by an activated pull station. UPFD reset the pull station and fire panel. UPFD cleared with no further incident. Closed.

110084 8:35 AM. Burglary of a Building: Expressway Tower/6116 Central Expressway. A faculty member reported some unknown person(s) entered two SMU offices and stole office equipment. The burglary occurred sometime between 1/22/11 at approximately 1:00PM - 1/24/11 8:20 AM. Another office in the same building was also burglarized in is currently being investigated by DPD. Open.
110085 3:18 PM. Fire Alarm: Lambda Chi Alpha/3004 Dyer Court. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. It was determined smoke was coming from the kitchen. The cook advised the smoke had come from the oven and he had taken the debris out of the oven. UPFD checked the area, reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident. Closed.

110097 10:17 AM. Fire Alarm: Patterson Hall/3128 Dyer St. Police Officers responded to an active full alarm. They checked the entire building and determined the alarm was unfounded. UPFD was disregarded and the alarm was reset with no further incident. Closed.
110098 11:24 AM. Criminal Mischief: 6222 North Central Expressway. A door to storage bay #4 had been forced open and damaged. The damages occurred sometime between 1/26 9:00AM - 1/27 11:45AM. Open.
110099 3:39 PM. Fire Alarm: Meadows Museum Parking Garage/5900 Bishop Blvd. UPFD responded to a full fire alarm. It was determined it was caused by a contractor who said he was soldering and the smoke caused the fire alarm to activate. The fire alarm panel was reset and UPFD cleared with no further incident. 110108 1:00 PM. Theft: Baird's Bldg./5230 E. Mockingbird. A demolition superintendent reported theft of two gas powered water pumps and a generator. The theft occurred on 1/28 sometime between 12:30-1:00 PM. Open.

110113 3:58 AM. Fire Alarm/Failure to Evacuate during a Fire Alarm/Tampering with Fire Protection Systems: Sigma Chi House/3100 Binkley Avenue. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. Two fire extinguishers were found on the floor and a strong odor of cigarette smoke. It was determined the dust from the fire extinguishers was the cause of the fire alarm activation. Three students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for failing to evacuate during a fire alarm. Closed.
110114 4:45 AM. Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Failure to Evacuate during a Fire Alarm/Possession of Fictitious License or ID: Sigma Chi House/3100 Binkley Avenue. A student was issued a University Park citation for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor and also referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing a fake ID. Closed.
110115 5:51 AM. Fire Alarm: Sigma Chi House/3100 Binkley Avenue. UPFD responded to an activated fire alarm. It was determined the fire alarm was being activated by an activated smoke detector. The dust residue from the fire extinguishers that had been activated previously. The house mom called the alarm company to request the system be put on test while the house members cleaned up the dust residue. UPFD cleared with no further incident. Closed.
110119 9:00 PM. Possession of Fictitious License or ID: Intersection of Binkley& Ownby Avenue. A student was issued a University Park citation for possessing a fake ID. Closed.

110120 12:17 AM. Sexual Assault: 3022 SMU Blvd. A student reported she was sexually assaulted by another student. The incident occurred on 1/29 @ 1:45 AM. The case was investigated by SMU PD. Case filed and rejected by the Dallas County District Attorney's Office. Closed. CRIME ALERT ISSUED.
110121 1:43 AM. Public Intoxication/Criminal Trespass Warning: Park Cities Plaza/3000 Mockingbird. A non affiliated female was issued a University Park citation, arrested and booked into University Park jail for being intoxicated in a public place. Closed.
110122 4:17 AM. Fire Alarm: McGinnis Hall/6005 Ownby Drive. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. It was determined it was caused by burnt popcorn. UPFD cleared with no further incident. Closed.

110126 1:01 PM. Fire Alarm: Moore Hall/5810 Hillcrest Avenue. UPFD responded to an active fire alarm. Upon arrival no signs of smoke or fire were observed. UPFD determined the cause for the activation of the fire alarm was unknown. SMU Fire Safety Inspector responded and reset the fire alarm panel. UPFD cleared with no further incident. Closed.
110129 8:38 PM. Fire Alarm: Phi Gamma Delta House/3064 SMU Blvd. UPFD responded to an odor of natural gas in the house. It was determined it was caused by the pilot light that was out on the stove in the kitchen. UPFD relit the pilot and cleared with no further incident. Closed.
