06/04/10    11:15 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Casita Ware.    A security officer responded to a fire alarm which was triggered by students who stared a fire in the fire place. The students immediately put out fire with an extinguisher once the fire alarm had been triggered. The fire alarm was turned off and the scene was cleared.    Closed.

06/07/2010     Off Campus-City of Taos, New Mexico    - It has just been reported to the SMU Police Department that the Taos Police Department are investigating two sexual assaults, one from December 2009 and the other from April 2010.    Open.    CRIME ALERT ISSUED 06/07/2010

07/07/2010    Off Campus - New Mexico law enforcement authorities are investigating the early Monday morning shooting deaths of two northern New Mexico teenagers whose bodies were located inside a vehicle on a road not far from the entrance to the SMU-in-Taos campus.  See CRIME ALERT  for more information.  UPDATE:  TAOS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE ARRESTS MURDER SUSPECT ON 07/09/2010.

08/11/2010    100773    2:00 AM.    On Campus.      A student abandoned his vehicle after driving it into a tree.  He will be referred to the Student Conduct Officer for an alcohol violation.    Closed.
