100864    12:02 AM.    Public Intoxication/Possession of Fictitious License or ID/Disorderly Conduct:    6000 Bishop Blvd.    A student was issued a University Park citation, arrested, booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place and for possessing a fake ID.  The student was also referred to the Student Conduct Office for urinating in a public place.    Closed. 

100866    6:15 PM.    Theft:    Ford Stadium/5801 Airline Rd.    A non affiliated person reported theft of currency.  The currency went missing on 8/28/2010 during a high school football game while selling snack bar items.     Open. 


September 2

100869    4:25 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Fondren Science Bldg./3215 Daniel Avenue.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  No horns or strobes were activated.  The fire panel indicated activation caused by water flow on the second floor east corner.  It was determined Allied Fire Protection were working in the building and caused the alarm.  UPFD cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

100870    11:39 PM.    Public Intoxication/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    6000 Bishop Blvd.    A student was issued a University Park citation, arrested and booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place.  The student was also referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing two fake identifications.    Closed.

100883    12:41 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.    A student was issued a University Park citation, referred to the Student Conduct Officer, arrested and booked into University Park jail for underage drinking.    Closed.

100890    2:53 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    South Quad Lot/6000 Ownby Drive.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100891    2:18 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.    Two students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.  Another student was referred for possessing a fake ID and for underage drinking.    Closed.

100892    4:20 PM.   Assault/Criminal Trespass Warning Issued:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.   A student assaulted a non affiliated person.   A non affiliated person was issued a criminal trespass warning.    Closed.

100893    6:05 PM.    Arson:    Virginia Hall/3325 Dyer Street.  A staff member reported some unknown person set a sign on fire. The incident occurred between 2:00-6:00 PM.    Open. 


September 6

100894    7:25 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Cockrell Hall/5905 Ownby Drive.    A police officer reported during a hall check observing graffiti on the wall of the 2nd floor.    Open. 

100895    7:44 AM.   Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/No Driver's License:     6229 Hillcrest/Ashbury. A non affiliated person was issued a Justice of the Peace citation for driving under the influence as a minor and driving without a license.

100896    1:10 PM.    Theft:    Kappa Alpha Theta/3108 University.    A student reported theft of their sorority banner "THINK THETA"  which was taken twice. The first banner was taken at 9/3.  The second banner was taken on 9/4.    Open.


September 7

100900    6:47 AM.    Burglary of Building:    Hughes Trigg /Java City/3140 Dyer Street.    A staff member reported theft of two bank bags with currency in it.  The break in occurred after closing hours sometime between 5:00PM on 9/6 thru 6:47AM on 9/7.      Open. 

100902    2:15 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Pi Kappa Alpha /3035 Dyer Street.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined the fire panel was malfunctioning.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

100903    4:03 PM.    Harassment:   Hughes Trigg Student Center/3045 Dyer Street.     A student reported being harassed by a non affiliated person.    Open.  

100904    7:49 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center/6000 Airline Rd.    One student reported theft of his Rolex watch, senior ring and currency.  Another student reported theft of his currency.   The theft occurred between 7:00-7:49 PM.     Open.

100905    12:53 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100906    2:50 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    6100 Bishop Blvd.    A student was issued a University Park citation, arrested and booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.


September 8

100907    5:43 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Owens Arts Center/Caruth Auditorium/6101 Bishop Blvd.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  UPFD determined the cause of the activation was a water leak from the ceiling of the northwest corner of Caruth Auditorium.  SMU maintenance was informed and UPFD cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

100911    4:01 AM.    Assault on Public Servant/Escape from Custody/Evading Arrest or Detention:    Off Campus.    A student was arrested by Dallas Police Department and booked into Dallas County jail on 9/3/2010.    The Student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for the violations.    Closed.

100912    10:10 AM.    Theft:    Owens Fine Art Center/6100 Bishop Blvd.    A student reported theft of her Acrylic painting.    Open.

100913    8:46 PM.    Theft:    Hillcrest Manor Apartment/3300 Daniel Avenue.    A student reported theft of her calculator.    Open.

100914    1:03 AM    Public Intoxication:    Off Campus/Lower Greenville.    A student was arrested by DPD and booked into the Dallas County jail for being intoxicated in a public place.  The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office.  Closed.

100915    1:01 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    3100 Binkley Avenue.    Two student were referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100916    1:31 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    A student was issued a University Park citation for underage drinking.    Another student was referred for underage drinking.    Closed.

100921    5:45 PM.    Failure to Leave Identification:    Airline Parking Garage/6506 Airline Circle.    A student reported an unknown person collided with her vehicle and the driver drove away without stopping to give information.    Open.

100922    9:58 PM.    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing alcohol.    Closed.

100923    9:58 PM.    Possession/Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia/Evading Arrest or Detention/Assault/Tampering with Fire Protection System/Possession of Alcohol by a Minor:    Sigma Chi House/3100 Binkley Avenue.    A former student will be filed at large for assaulting a peace officer, evading arrest and for possessing drug paraphernalia.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing alcohol by a minor and for tampering with fire protection system.    Two other students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing alcohol by minors and for drug policy violation.    Closed.

100954    4:06 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Mary Hay Hall/3323 Peyton Parkway.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  UPFD determined the activation was caused by overcooked popcorn in the microwave.   UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.     Closed.
