April 1

100364    12:10 PM.    Burglary of Building:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/Men's Locker room.   A staff member reported theft of his wallet which contained a driver's license, social security card, Banana Republic gift card, two credit cards and a fifty dollar personal check.    Open.

100365    12:48 PM.    Burglary of Building:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/Men's Locker room.    A non affiliated person reported theft of his wallet which contained fifty dollars cash, Citibank Credit/Debit MasterCard and a Texas driver's license.    Open.

100366    1:01 PM.    Burglary of Building:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/Men's Locker room.    A staff member reported theft of his wallet which contained three credit cards, Texas driver's license, SMU ID card, and two Home Depot gift cards.    Open.

100369    6:31 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    A student reported theft of his wallet which contained a driver's license and social security card, cell phone, two keys, blue jeans and a t-shirt.    Open.


April 2

100370    1:01 AM.   Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:     Sigma Chi House/3100 Binkley Avenue.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.  The house was referred for the alcohol inside the room.    Closed.

100371    1:53 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office of underage drinking.    Closed.


April 3

100374    11:32 PM.    Criminal Mischief:    McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.   A public safety officer  reported someone intentionally caused damage to ceiling tiles.  Open.  


April 4

100375    12:44 AM.    University Policy/Code of Conduct Violation:    Sigma Alpha Epsilon/3005 Dyer Court.    The house was referred for consuming alcohol in a common area of the house.    Closed.

100376    2:13 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Owens Fine Arts Center Parking Lot.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100377    12:21 PM.    Burglary of a Building:    Moody Coliseum/6024 Airline Road.    A student reported theft of his backpack which contained his laptop, IPOD and pants.    Open.


April 5

100379    9:06 AM.    Sexual Assault/Off Campus Criminal Incident:    Off Campus/Plano Texas.    A student was arrested on March 5th by Plano Police Department and booked into Collin County jail for allegations of sexual assault of a child on December 19, 2009.   The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office.  He was convicted of Sexual Assault of a Child on 06/02/2011.    Closed.

100380    9:55 AM.    Arrested on Warrant:    5900 Bishop Blvd.    A non affiliated person was arrested and booked into Dallas County jail for two outstanding warrants.    Closed.

100381    11:32 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Sigma Alpha Epsilon/3005 Dyer Court.     A staff member reported damages to the back door of the house.    Open.

100382    1:22 PM.    Fire:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports/6000 Airline Rd.    University Park Fire Department responded to a laundry dryer that was on fire and extinguished the fire.  Risk Management and Public Affairs were at the Fire Department's Mobile Command Post and made numerous notifications.  Risk Management and Facilities Management and Sustainability surveyed the scene and began making repairs to the sprinkler system and cleaned up the area.    Closed.


April 6

100384    11:02 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Perkins Natatorium/6024 Bishop Blvd.    A student reported some unknown person broke the latch that held the lock on  his locker.  A scuba diving vest had been moved to another locker and none of his property was missing.     Open.

100385    4:27 PM.    Disorderly Conduct:    Moody Parking Garage/3063 SMU Blvd.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for making rude obscene gestures and comments.     Open. 

100386    11:44 PM.    Criminal Mischief:    Beta Theta Pi House/3058 SMU Blvd.    A student reported paint in the basketball court from the Beta Theta Pi House.    Open.


April 7

100391  1:28 PM.      Theft/Criminal Attempt:    Hamon Lot/6100 Hillcrest.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for attempted theft for trying to remove the Immobilizing boot from his vehicle.      Closed.

100394    8:35 PM.    Failure To Leave Identification:     3100 McFarlin.      A student reported his vehicle was struck while parked at this location.  No contact information was left at the scene.    Open. 


April 8

100396    3:24 PM.    Theft:    Peyton Hall/3325 Peyton Parkway.    A student reported theft of money from his dorm room.    Open. 


April 9

100398    12:05 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.    A student reported damage to his clothes.    Open.

100399    2:45 AM.   Driving Under the Influence by a Minor/Minor in Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    3100 Daniel/Durham.  A student was arrested and booked into University Park jail for driving under the influence and for possessing a fake ID.  Another student was arrested and booked into University Park jail for under age drinking and for possessing a fake ID by University Park Police Department.   Both students were referred to the Student Conduct Office.   Closed. 

100404    1:40 PM.    Off Campus/Sexual Assault:    Off Campus/M Street Bar/3508 Greenville Avenue.    A student reported to Dallas Police Department she may have been drugged and sexually assaulted off campus.  Closed.

100405    3:31 PM.    Failure to Leave Identification:    Binkley Parking Garage/3101 Binkley Avenue.    A student reported his vehicle was struck and damaged while parked at this location.   No contact information was left at the scene.     Open.

100407    10:10 PM.    Possession /Delivery of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:        Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    A student was issued a University Park citation for possession of a fake ID and referred to the Student Conduct Office for possession of alcohol, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Another student was also referred for possession of alcohol by a Minor.    Closed.


April 10

100408    1:55 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Beta Theta Pi House/3058 SMU Blvd.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100409    2:23 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Phi Gamma Delta House/3064 SMU Blvd.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  Horns and strobes were activated and individuals were evacuating the house.  The fire panel showed activations caused by a smoke detector in the game room.  No signs of smoke or fire were observed.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.

100410    4:29 AM.  Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Possession of a Fictitious License or ID:   Off Campus/ Intersection of Lemon/Cole Avenue.    A student was arrested and booked into Dallas County jail by Dallas Police Department and referred to the Student Conduct Officer for driving under the influence, possessing alcohol, possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing a fake ID.    Closed.

100413    1:10 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    A  student was issued a University Park citation and referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.  Another student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing a fake ID.    Closed.   

100414    2:21 AM.    Off Campus/Public Intoxication:    Off Campus/3400 Granada Street.   A student was arrested and booked into University Park jail by University Park Police for being intoxicated in a public place.    The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office.    Closed.

100415    2:43 AM.    Public Intoxication:    SMU Blvd./Airline Rd.     A student was issued a University Park citation and booked into University Park jail for being intoxicated in a public place.   The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office.    Closed.

100416    5:04 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Snider Hall/3305 Dyer Street.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.   Closed.


April 12

100418    12:06 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Lambda Chi Alpha/3004 Dyer Court.    A police officer reported during a walk through of the house she observed the door handle and dead bolt was damaged in a manner consisted with the door being forced open.      Open.  

100420    1:58 PM.    Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    6000 Bishop.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing a fictitious driver's license.    Closed.

100421    3:22 PM.    Disorderly Conduct:    Boaz Hall/3200 Binkley Avenue.    A staff member reported a student was using violent gestures with obscene language directed at her and she feared for her safety.  The student was issued a University Park citation for disorderly conduct and referred to the Student Conduct Office.    Closed.

100422    5:16 PM.    Theft:    Owens Arts Center/6101 Bishop Blvd.    A student reported theft of his painting.    Open.

100423    1:17 PM.    Off Campus/Assault:    Off Campus/Club Deux/5321 Mockingbird Lane.    A student reported he was physically assaulted by another student.    Open. 

100424    2:07 PM.    Theft:    Prothro Hall/5901 Bishop Blvd.    A faculty member reported theft of a computer.    Open.

100425    3:42 PM.    Theft:    West Quad Lot/3300 Peyton Parkway.    A student reported theft of her bicycle.    Open.

100428    9:52 AM.    Failure To Leave Identification:    3100 McFarlin Blvd.    A student reported her vehicle was struck while parked at this location. No contact information was left at the scene.    Open.

100429    6:35 PM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    Expressway Tower Parking Lot/6116 Central Expressway.    A staff member reported someone attempted to steal her vehicle leaving pry marks and the ignition was tampered with.    Open.

100430    8:08 PM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Cockrell Hall/5905 Ownby Drive.    A student was issued a University Park citation and referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100434    12:43 AM.    Criminal Mischief:   McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.     A Police Officer reported he observed damaged ceiling tiles and a hole in the wall during a walk through of the dorm.   Open.

100435    2:12 PM.    Public Intoxication:    3000 Binkley Avenue.    A non affiliated person was issued a University Park citation, arrested and booked into University Park jail for being intoxicated in a public place.    Closed.

100436    10:36 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    3036 Potomac Ave.   A staff member reported damage to a flower bed retaining wall.    Open.

100437    1:02 PM.    Criminal Mischief:    Mrs. Bairds Building.    An Officer reported damage to the northeast gate.    Open.

100439    12:23 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:   6200 Bishop Blvd.      A student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

100440    12:37 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:  South Quad Lot.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for underage drinking.    Closed.

100441    12:22 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.    A student said she was attending a party in the wading pool area and cash was stolen from her purse.    Open.

100442    12:25 PM.    Theft:    Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports.     A student said she was attending a party in the wading pool area and cash was stolen from her purse.    Open.

100445    9:22 PM.    Criminal Mischief:    Lambda Chi Alpha House.    A student reported he suspects another student entered his room without permission and caused damage to his property.    Open.


April 18

100446    12:31 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/Disorderly Conduct:    Sigma Chi House.    Three students were referred to the Student Conduct Officer for underage drinking.  Another student was referred to the Student Conduct Officer for cursing at a Police Officer.      Closed.

100447    3:38 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Daniel House Laundry Room.    A window was broken at this location.    Open.

100448    3:44 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    McElvaney Hall.    A Police Officer conducting a walk-through of this location observed damaged ceiling tiles on the first, second and fourth floors.    Open.

100450    12:45 PM.    Criminal Attempt:    Dyer Court Lot.    A student reported someone attempted to break-in to his vehicle.    Open.

100451    3:52 PM.    Theft:    Perkins Natatorium.    A student reported the theft of his money clip from his backpack.    Open.

100454    11:36 PM.    Trouble Alarm:    Bridwell Library.    A smoke detector in the basement caused a trouble alarm.   An email was sent to the Fire Safety Coordinator.    Closed.


April 19

100456    2:59 PM.    Disorderly Conduct:    Doak Walker Plaza/6000 Airline Rd.   University Park Police Department reported they issued a student a Disorderly Conduct citation.  The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office.    Closed.


April 20

100457    2:21 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    McElvaney Hall/6000 Bishop Blvd.    A staff member reported he found some burnt newspaper in the south hallway of the first floor during a patrol check of the hall.  There was damaged caused to the carpet.       Open. 

100458    11:23 AM.     Fire Alarm:    Science Information Center/6425 Airline.    University Park Fire Department responded to investigate a strong odor of diesel exhaust.  It was determined a diesel generator in use for construction on the North East exterior of the building was the source of the strong odor.  The generator was turned off and the smoke stopped.  UPFD, Emergency Management , Risk Management, and CPPO all cleared with no further incident.    Closed.  

100460    12:40 PM.    Theft:    West Quad Lot/Bike Rack/3000 Peyton Parkway.    A student reported theft of his bicycle.    Open.

100461    5:36 PM.    Theft:    McElvaney Hall/Public Laundry Room/6000 Bishop Blvd.    A student reported theft of her SMU cheerleading uniform.    Open.

100462    9:48 PM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    Expressway Tower/South Parking Lot/6116 Central Expressway.   A maintenance employee reported theft of a stereo from his vehicle.    Open.

100466    12:52 AM.    Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle/Driving While Intoxicated:    6400 Boaz Lane.    A non affiliated female was arrested and booked into University Park jail for driving under the influence of alcohol with an opened container.      Closed.

100467    10:00 AM.    Burglary of Vehicle:    Sorority Row/3010 Daniel.    A student reported theft of an IPOD charging cord, camera, five music CD's, vehicle registration form and a wallet which contained a Visa Platinum credit card.    Open. 

100468    11:00 AM.    Burglary of a Building:    Owens Arts Center/6101 Bishop Blvd.    A staff member reported theft of an Apple IMAC computer and an overhead projector was damaged.    Open.

100469    2:11 PM.    Theft:     Perkins Natatorium/Women's Locker Room/6024 Bishop Blvd.    A student reported theft of her under garments.    Open.


April 22

100471    2:53 AM.    Public Intoxication:    6200 Bishop Blvd.    A student was issued a University Park citation, arrested, booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place.      Closed.


April 23

100474    12:52 AM.    Theft of Service/Possession of Marijuana/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    McElvaney Hall.    A student was cited, arrested and booked into the University Park Jail for underage drinking and having marijuana in his possession.  He will also be referred to the Student Conduct Officer for these offenses as well as for failing to pay the cab driver who dropped him off on campus.    Closed.

100475    1:56 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor/University Policy Violation:    Smith Hall.    One student will be referred to the Student Conduct Officer for underage drinking and another student was referred for failing to present his student ID when requested by a University Official.    Closed.

100476    9:05 AM.    Criminal Mischief:    Theology Lot.    A gate arm was broken at this location.    Open.

100477    6:36 PM.    Failure to Leave Identification:    3100 McFarlin.     A staff member reported she observed a vehicle collide with a parked vehicle while backing.   The vehicle who struck the parked vehicle drove off and no contact information was left at the scene.      Open.

100478    10:50 PM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Cockrell Hall/5905 Ownby Drive.    Ten students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.  Closed.

100479    11:49 PM.    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Fictitious License or ID:    Smith Hall/6020 Hillcrest Avenue.    One  student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for possession of marijuana, possession of alcohol by a minor and for possessing a fake ID.  Three other students were referred to Student Conduct Office for university policy violation/code of conduct violation.      Closed.


April 24

100480    1:48 AM.    Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Dublin Street and 3000 SMU Alley.    A student was referred for underage drinking.    Closed.

100482    2:35 AM.    Public Intoxication:    Off Campus/7-11 6200 Hillcrest.    A student was arrested and booked into University Park jail by University Park police for being intoxicated in a public place.  The student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for the violation.    Closed. 

100483    2:18 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Mary Hay Hall/3323 Peyton Parkway.    Officers responded to an activated fire alarm.  Upon arrival they found a specific room with a audible alarm and strobes.  It was determined it was caused by steam from the shower.  The fire panel was reset and the officers cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

100484    6:35 PM.    Fire Alarm:    Sigma Phi Epsilon/3050 SMU Blvd.    University Park Fire Department responded to a full active fire alarm.  It was determined it was caused by steam from the shower.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.


April 25

100485    2:26 AM.   Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    3000 Binkley Avenue.    A student was referred to the Student Conduct Office for underage drinking.    Closed.

100486    2:44 AM.    Possession of Alcohol by a Minor/Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor:    Sigma Alpha Epsilon/3005 Dyer Court.   Four students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for possessing and consuming alcohol by minors.  Two students were referred for underage drinking.  Two students were referred to the Student Conduct Office for violation of University Policy.    Closed. 

100487    11:39 PM.    Harassment:      Fondren Library/6414 Hyer Lane.      A student reported he was receiving harassing threatening messages through his facebook account by another student.    Three students were referred to the Student Conduct Office.     Open. 


April 26

100488    1:52 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Umphrey Lee Center/Kitchen/3300 Dyer Street.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm.  It was determined it was caused by a meat smoker in the main kitchen area.  The meat smoker contained several burnt briskets.  UPFD used fans to clear the smoke out of the building.  The fire alarm was reset and UPFD cleared with no further incident.    Closed.


April 27

100492    1:42 AM.   Possession of Marijuana/Criminal Trespass Warning.:     Martin Hall/5912 Hillcrest Avenue.     A student was arrested, booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for possession of marijuana.   A non affiliated person was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.     Closed.  

100493    9:16 AM.    Fire Alarm:    Pi Kappa Alpha House/3035 Dyer Street.    University Park Fire Department responded to an active audible fire alarm.  The fire panel indicated room 203.  UPFD checked the area and found no indication of smoke or fire.  UPFD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.    Closed.

100495    10:54 AM.    Off Campus/ Criminal Incident/Stalking:   Off Campus/ 5959 E. Northwest Highway.    A student was arrested, booked into Dallas County jail by Dallas Police Department and referred to the Student Conduct Office for stalking.    Closed.

100497    10:45 AM.    Burglary of a Building:    Loyd All Sports Center/5800 Ownby Drive.    A staff member reported theft of a June Jones autographed SMU football helmet.    Open. 


April 29

100504  4:36 PM.    Burglary of a Building:    SMU Police Department/3128 Dyer Street/Locker Room.    A police officer reported theft of his police radio.    Open.

100506    1:32 AM.    Public Intoxication:    3000 Binkley Avenue.    A student was arrested, booked into University Park jail and referred to the Student Conduct Office for being intoxicated in a public place.      Closed.
